The modern world includes many technologies, without which it is already quite challenging to imagine our life. Every day we receive information through the visual perception of reality; images of objects are built through various images in our head. After that, a whole system of concepts, knowledge, and ideas about the world is formed. The constantly changing environment of our time, endlessly replaced by images that are prepared in the form of images by our consciousness, is a multimedia sphere consisting of useful information, various video sequences, animated computer graphics and the Internet. In their research, the authors set the task to study the phenomenon and directions of visualization of culture using computer technology. For this, the authors analyzed the theoretical and methodological basis, which allowed them to put forward 3 hypotheses. Further, the authors conducted several studies from 04.2019-10.2020. As a result of which 2 hypotheses were confirmed, one was refuted, showing the importance and necessity of visualizing culture through computer technologies.
The purpose of the research is to identify the suppositions and factors that form the base of the enlightenment model of the leisure activities. Methodology of the research lies in the usage of a set of systemic, historical and chronological and hermeneutical methods. Scientific novelty of the research is grounded with the origin of the pragmatic approach to the assessment of the leisure activities and leisure practices in the period of Enlightenment. Conclusions. It is proved that the formation of the Enlightenment model of the leisure activities was influenced by such tendencies as the acknowledgement of the leading role of science among other ki nds of cognitive activity and the cult of Mind, absolutization of education that formed the belief in the possibility of solving soc ial problems, provided the appropriate conditions for this; deism and secularization of worldview, which led to the denial of religious fanaticism and blind faith in to Church dogmas; social stratification of society. That's why there were dominated such leisure practices that were aimed at the objective cognition of the reality and were based onto the pragmatic ideas.
The purpose of the article is to compare opinions and views of Epicurus and Lorenzo Valla on the worldview essence of leisure. The research methodology is based on the use of a comparative method to substantiate the general and divergent views of leisure by famous thinkers. The research novelty. For the first time in the national cultural studies, the author analysed the views of Epicurus and Valla on leisure in the context of its worldview essence. Conclusions. It has been proved that both Epicurus and Valla made sense of human life in the attainment of the highest good on earth by the man-a happiness that is equated by philosophers with leisure and spiritual peace. According to the ancient philosopher, the path to the highest happiness lies in the "passive" world cognition and resigning to death. Instead, Lorenzo Valla justifies a human need for pleasure as it provides a complete perception of the world. According to the Roman thinker, virtue and prudence (in the Epicurean sense) should not be a priority for pleasure, as they are only a means to pleasure. If Epicurus favours spiritual pleasures, Valla emphasizes the unity of spiritual and bodily pleasures, expressing sincere sympathy for the limitations of human sensuality. Epicurus conceived God as an immortal, blissful, prudent hedonist who stays out of mundane desires; in Valla's view, God is the creator of worldly and unworldly goods, and therefore man has to love him as a source of these goods. According to Epicureanism, one must devote himself to leisure as a means of self-cognition and self-evolution. The ideal leisure of the Renaissance thinker is both scientific and entertaining, which has been reflected in the perception of the worldly pleasures of human communication as indispensable to human happiness.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the ancient Roman leisure activity as a theoretical reflection and cultural practice. The methodology of the research is reduced to the usage of historical and cultural approach that allows combining diachronic and synchronic methods to the study leisure activity as a polysemantic cultural phenomenon. Scientific Novelty. The topicality of the research is to identify and substantiate the conditions that led to the formation and development in ancient Roman intellectual and entertainment leisure activities, contemplative and active leisure activities, leisure activity as a means of self-development and leisure activity as a mass cultural practice. Conclusions. Leisure activity was perceived as a rest from work, a day dedicated to God, pleasure, safe for moral values (Virgiliy, Georgiki) in Republican Rome. As a result of the conquests in the East and the expansion of Greek culture, the value system of the Romans underwent significant changes, which was clearly manifested in the development of leisure activity in two interrelated-spheres‖: spectacular and intellectual. Spectacular otium has become a powerful tool of political impact on masses, a method of mobilization and employment, and consequently reducing the content of leisure activity to-bread and sights‖,-money and pleasure‖, the gradual loss of the majority the ability to perceive leisure as a means of self-development, self-improvement and cultural creation. For members of the Roman intelligentsia leisure activity is, first of all, the luxury of companionship, intelligent conversation and literature classes. However, for the majority of the population, the Roman borrowing of otium graecum didn't have an introspective, self-absorbed social character, freed from a sense of moral responsibility, it required only an external, leveled assessment, contrary to the individual and spiritual content of culture. Parkhomenko, PhD candidate in philosophy Current European integration course in Ukraine requires rethinking Ukrainian scientific and policies meaning of the cultural sphere as the set of cultural industries, which produce and distribute goods or services with special cultural value, irrespective of the commercial value they may have. According to the main UN Resolutions, UNESCO Conventions and legal activity of the European Commission since 90th of XX century cultural assets are considered to be -an instrument and resource of economic, cultural and social sustainable development of states, cities and regions. New conditions require scientific methods for modelling Ukrainian cultural industries, identification of the priority industries. Besides the concept of cultural industries European scientists and governmental officials, use the concept of creative industries, especially, for the policymaking. All that show the need for clarification of these concepts in Ukrainian scientific field and policies making practice for governmental purposes. The purpose of this article is to study the meaning of the concepts of cultural and creative industries according to the European scientific discourse and policies making documents in the EU and the UK.
