Administrative services mail at ISI Padangpanjang still use the procedures manual by recording the letter into an agenda book, followed by the processing stages of each leader to leader next, this process is done manually by the staff of managers by delivering direct mail to any room leaders and stakeholders, so that the effectiveness of the service is not optimal. Under these conditions made a management information system based mail web using the programming language PHP with MySQL database, the system is built with a user interface design that allows users, processing a letter centered on a database, so that the flow of execution and processing letter will be more quickly and precisely, with The processing system built at ISI Padangpanjang letters of administration will be more effective and can save paper usage.
Setiap manusia membutuhkan rasa aman baik secara fisik maupun psikis, rasa aman hanya akan didapat jika manusia melindungi dirinya dari semua bentuk ancaman yang mungkin terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melindungi manusia dari ancaman fisik maupun psikis yang disebabkan oleh manusia ataupun oleh binatang dengan cara mengoptimalkan kinerja buka tutup pintu pagar menggunakan mikrokontroler dan Android dengan komunikasi berbasis Bluetooth. Metoda yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian terapan dengan tiga langkah yaitu perancangan, ujicoba dan implementasi. Dari hasi implementasi dapat diketahui bahwa pintu pagar dapat dikendalikan dari jarak 25 meter dan hanya dapat dibuka oleh orang yang punya akses untuk itu. Utilization of the potential energy of water scale piko hydro is still very small, one of the challenges is that water turbines are not sold freely on the market, to get it must be ordered in advance to certain shops or workshops so that the price of turbines becomes expensive. The purpose of this experimental research is to analyze the performance of alternative fluid engines that can function as water turbines, namely pumps as turbines (PAT). Tests were carried out on three sizes of centrifugal pumps, namely 1 inch, 1.5 inches and 2 inches. using the same test equipment. The test results found that centrifugal pumps can be used as a good alternative as a water turbine. The larger pump size results in a lower head, power and efficiency. The results of testing at constant rotation and head, PAT 1 inch superior to PAT 1.5 inches, and PAT 2 inches. The maximum power and efficiency of 1 inch PAT is 235 W and 38% occur at a constant head of 15 m, 4.1 L/s discharge and 850 rpm rotation. This data inspired the researchers to create head and discharge standards suitable for each PAT size. Furthermore, many centrifugal pumps are sold in the market, it is necessary to do further research to get the right recommendations about the type, brand and size of the ideal pump used as a pico hydro scale water turbine in accordance with the potential for water and head discharge in the community.
Telpon seluler saat ini tidak hanya dapat digunakan untuk melakukan percakapan dan pengiriman pesan tetapi dapat juga digunakan untuk mengontrol peralatan elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendayagunakan fasilitas pendeteksi suara yang ada pada android untuk mengontrol lampu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian terapan untuk menghasilkan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak yang dapat digunakan untuk mengontrol lampu. Perangkat keras berupa rangkaian elektronik berbasis Arduino sedangkan perangkat lunak merupakan aplikasi yang dapat dijalankan pada telpon seluler berbasis android.
The number of water wheels operated by the community in West Sumatra, Indonesia, in 1970 was around 4082 units, and now it is estimated that there are around 420 units. The water wheel system is made permanent, made of wood, the construction is quite heavy so that it becomes a problem when installing it. Water Wheel Knock Down System (W2KDS) is a good alternative and solution because the construction is light, and its components can be broken down so that it is easier to install in remote villages. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the performance of W2KDS driving rice milling? The research objective was to analyze W2KDS performance, transmission efficiency, and rice milling productivity. The research methodology is an experiment with the stages of designing W2KDS systems and components, building W2KDS-rice milling, and analyzing the performance of W2KDS driving rice milling. The type of W2KDS that has been successfully built is a breast shot with an outer wheel diameter of 180 cm, an inner diameter of 120 cm, a blade width of 60 cm, 20 blades, and a belt-pulley power transmission system. The results of the W2KDS performance analysis of rice milling driving are, at a water flow rate of 88 L/s, head of 5 m, and a rotational speed of 60 rpm, the resulting torque is 551 Nm, power 3400 W, W2KDS efficiency 78.1%, transmission system efficiency 88.2% and rice milling productivity of 86.40 kg of rice/hour.
