In a society such as Brazil, organized and structured by differences, sexual diversity is a prominent theme in discussions. School is considered as one of the agents of this dialogue, and to make this statement effective, the Federal Government has launched the Brazil Without Homophobia Program and the Project School without Homophobia, that culminated in the drafting of a Kit Against Homophobia. Based on the theoretical framework of Cultural Studies, we proposed a dialogue on the strategies of that Kit and the controversy it has raised. The data obtained indicate the school environment as highly homophobic and heterosexist and show that actions like these jeopardize education and affect the formation of all the involved ones, especially those who do not have their rights protected. Keywords: Kit Against Homophobia;LGBTQIAphobia; School; Sexual Diversity; Brazil Without Homophobia Program.
