The objective of this research is to know the effectiveness of self-instruction to improve the self confidence on Junior High School students. Data were collected using the inventory of confidence and analyzed with the Wilcoxon test through SPSS. The results show that there are five students who have a low level of confidence. Those students were given counseling group using self-instruction techniques, students are given a pretest-posttest to measure the effectiveness of the technique. the result show that students increase confidence after attending group counseling using self-instruction techniques.
This study aimed to develop a training guide of empathy attitude skills as prevention of bullying behavior on junior high school students. The method was a research and development model. The subjects of the research were guidance and counseling experts; educational technology expert; and school counselors. The instrument was the empathy attitude skill scale for students; expert assessment instruments and counselor assessment instruments. Data from the assessment results of guidance and counseling expert; educational technology expert; and three school counselors in three different schools in Malang City showed that the developed products were acceptable and feasible to be used to improve empathy skills as prevention of bullying behavior of junior high school students.
<span lang="EN-US">Academic resilience is an individual's academic resilience in facing academic pressure. In fact, in the industry 5.0 era resilience is needed by individuals to face various challenges in the future. This study determined the prevalence of academic resilience of Social Science students in facing the industry 5.0 </span><span lang="IN">e</span><span lang="EN-US">ra. This research employed survey design. The sample was 116 students of Social Sciences who were selected using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data collection used academic resilience questionnaire. It was tested for validity and reliability with a KMO and Bartlett's Test value of 0.741. The data was analyzed descriptively. Students' academic resilience was shown by having competence, self-confidence, character, commitment, interest, and self-control to overcome difficult situations at hand. Commitment is an important aspect for individuals to be tough in academic situations.</span>
The study aims to determine the academic burnout of teachers taking Professional Teacher Education (Pendidikan Profesi Guru) at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) based on their gender, marital status, and employment status. This is the first study mapping the academic burnout of teachers participating in professional education with various demographic variables. The study applied comparative design. 360 teachers who took their professional education at UM in the even semester 2019 participated in the study. Research data was collected using a demographic questionnaire and School Burnout Inventory that was adapted into Bahasa Indonesia and professional education context. The exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's Alpha were applied to test the validity and reliability of the instrument. the Mann-Withey U Test and Kruskal Wallis were also used to analyze the data. The results showed that there are no differences in the academic burnout of the subjects in term of gender, marital status, and employment status.
