A study was performed to investigate the possible formation of coordination compounds between Cu(II), Cd(II), Zn(I1). and Pb(I1) ions and natural degradation products of atrazine (ATR) desisopropylatrazine (DL4): desethylatrazine (DU). and desethyldesisopropylatrazine (DEIA). as well as parent compound ,4TR itself and the related s-triazine herbicide prometnne (PRO). By using polarographic and voltammetric titrations of a metal ion with a ligand and vice versa, at mercun drop or plain carbon paste electrode. only a formation of coordination compounds involving Cu(I1) ions. of a type CuL2 (L = DW, DL4, and PRO) and CuL (L = DEN) in aqueous solutions at pHs above 4, were obsen7ed. By applying an indirect polarographic method with ligand exchange (EDTA), a conditional stability constant of CuDEL4 was determined. and the value @;lunELI = 12.-was obtained.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
