RESUMOA presente pesquisa foi realizada na Comunidade Barreiras no município de Almeirim, Pará, tendo como objetivo realizar um levantamento etnobotânico em quintais agroflorestais da comunidade. Os informantes foram selecionados a partir da técnica bola de neve e a coleta de dados ocorreu a partir da aplicação de formulários semiestruturados, associados à técnica da turnê-guiada, realizada com os mantenedores dos quintais. Foram feitos registros fotográficos das plantas e coletado material botânico para realizar a identificação. Nos 30 quintais foram relacionadas 84 espécies, pertencentes a 42 famílias. As categorias etnobotânicas identificadas foram: alimentícias, medicinais, ornamentais e utensílios. Estes dados constituem um indicativo de que o uso das plantas dos quintais representa uma alternativa para a manutenção da qualidade de vida das famílias e para a conservação da diversidade local. ETHNOBOTANICAL IN AGROFORESTRY BACKYARDS OF THE COMMUNITY BARREIRAS, IN ALMEIRIM, PARÁ ABSTRACTThe present research was realized at community Barreiras, in the municipality of Almeirim, Pará, having as objective to realize an ethnobotanical survey in agroforestry backyards of the community. The informants were selected using the snowball technique and the collect of dates occurred from the application of semistructured forms, associated to the tour-guided technique, realized with the backyards maintainers. It were done fotografic registration of the plants and collected botanic material to realize the identification. In the 30 backyards were listed 84 species, belonging to 42 families. The ethnobotanical categories identified were: food, medicinal, ornamental and utensil. These dates constitute an indicative that the use of backyard plants represents an alternative to the maintenance of families life quality and local diversity conservation.
