Diabetes mellitus is a disease that causes public health problems because it is one of the causes of deaththroughout the world. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus. The type ofresearch used is a case control study, with a retrospective approach. The location of this study is in BhayangkaraHospital on Kupang city. The sample in this study was divided into two groups, namely a case sample as muchas 37 people and a control sample as much as 37 people. Research instruments use questionnaires and medicalrecords. The data obtained were analyzed using chi square statistical test. From the results of the study it wasfound that the related factors were: age (p=0,018, OR=3,544; CI= 95%), obesity (p=0.015; OR=3.826;CI=95%), hypertension (p=0.019; OR=3,423; CI=95%), consumption pattern (p=0,017; OR=3,660; CI=95%),stress (p=0,036 OR=3,033; CI=95%). It is expected the hospital provides information through counseling orleaflets about risk and danger factors of Type 2 DM to the community and for community to be able to increaseawareness for risk factors of the Type 2 DM by diligently checking for self-detection so the treatment can bedone as early as possible.
Latar Belakang: Indonesia saat ini dalam keadaan darurat kekerasan seksual terhadap anak-anak. Pendidikan seksual dini penting untuk mengurangi tingkat kekerasan seksual. Namun, pencegahan berbasis sekolah untuk pelecehan seksual di Kota Kupang masih terbatas. Tujuan: Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis media dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk memperkenalkan pencegahan primer untuk pelecehan seksual anak. Metode: Yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan sketsa bergambar, musik dan lagu, video drama dan permainan peran. Proyek ini dilakukan di Sardis Preschool, Kecamatan Maulafa, Kota Kupang dan 20 siswa dan 2 guru berpartisipasi. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 100% anak berpartisipasi dalam pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi untuk anak-anak. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak setelah konseling berbasis media meningkat sebesar 92%, sedangkan dalam konseling non-media hanya 63%. Pada akhir kegiatan, anak-anak dapat menunjukkan bagian tubuh tertentu yang tidak boleh disentuh oleh orang lain dan mempraktikkannya dengan menyanyikan lagu pencegahan kekerasan seksual menggunakan gerakan yang benar. Berdasarkan hasil ini, pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis media sangat efektif, sehingga sangat dianjurkan untuk diterapkan dalam konseling kesehatan reproduksi, terutama pada anak-anak.
Cardiovascular is a heart disease which is caused by the disturbance of heart function and artery. Survey Sample Regristration System (SRS) 2014 in Indonesia shows that coronary heart disease is the second cause of death after stroke as much as 12.9%. The aim of this research is to know the factors of coronary heart disease survivors in RSUD Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang in 2019. This research using observation with case control study. The participants were taken from RSUD Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang. There are 86 coronary heart disease survivors and 86 who are not. The participants were chosen with systematic random sampling with trusting α=0.05. Each variable was tested by chi-square to know the relationship with coronary heart disease. The result of this research shows that hypertension variable (p=0.000, OR=65.753 and 95% CI=23.066-189.960), smoking (p=0.002, OR=2.835 and 95% CI=1.505-5.341), age (p=0.000, OR=54.379 and 95% CI=15.806-187.083) have relation with the cause of coronary heart disease, while gender variable (p=1.000, OR=1.048 and 95% CI=0.574-5.341) and family history (p=1.000, OR=1.066 and 95% CI=0.529-2.151) don’t have any relation with coronary heart disease. Suggests to the society to live healthy life such as do physical activity, eating vegetable and fruit, not smoking, not drinking alcohol, and do routine checkup.
Diarrhea is the loss of body fluids within 24 hours with the frequency of bowel movements more than three times a day. Number of patients with diarrhea in health centers Teke Tena last three years has risen in 2016 as many as 150 people, in 2017 250 in 2018 328 people. Buru village Kaghu in 2016-2018 had the highest diarrhea patients from four other villages, namely the village Werilolo 17 cases, 40 cases Weebaghe village, village Milla Ate 35 cases, 35 cases Bedu Pasono village, almost every year from 2016 to 2018 outbreak of diarrhea in infants that result in death if not treated quickly. The purpose of this research is to know the factors related to the occurrence of diarrhea in infants in Buru village Kaghu 2019, this type of research is analytic research with, sample of 90 people with a statistical analysis using Chi-Square test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the mother's knowledge with the incidence of diarrhea in infants (p value = 0.012), there is a correlation between drinking water treatment (p value 0.000), there is a correlation between the availability of latrines (p value = 0.015), there was no relationship between the wash hands with soap and clean water with the incidence of diarrhea in infants (p value = 0.158), there was no relationship between the provision of breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea in infants (p value = 0.823), there was no correlation between the cleanliness of the equipment with the incidence of diarrhea in infants (p value 0.652).
Diabetes mellitus is a condition of abnormality characterized by the presence of carbohydrate and fat metabolism that does not get enough insulin continuously, and causes acute and chronic complications. The decrease in the rate of development of complications requires the role of health workers in the puskesmas as the first service unit in the primary prevention of diabetes mellitus. The research aims to find out the characteristics of diabetes mellitus patients in the working area of Sikumana Health Center, Kupang City in 2019. This type of research is descriptive research. The research population was all diabetes mellitus patients in the period January-December 2019 which amounted to 484 patients who received services according to standards. Sampling uses quota sampling techniques and all members of the population are studied. The database collected is the medical record data of diabetes mellitus patients in the puskemas. Data processing and analysis is done descriptively. The results showed that the late elderly were the more diabetic (39.90%) and dominated by female gender (56.40%). Most diabetic patients have a basic education level (46.50%) and the work of most patients is housewives (42.40%). The type of diabetes mellitus cases suffered, most of which are old cases (85.30%). It is expected on the part of the management of non-communicable diseases in the puskesmas to make efforts to improve patient knowledge through the provision of health information periodically with diverse topics related to diabetes mellitus prevention and control measures.
Pengetahuan yang tepat dan memiliki sikap yang benar dapat mencegah penularan covid-19. Melalui media leafleat dalam upaya pencegahan dapat berdampak positif karena membentuk keyakinan orang untuk beriperilaku sesuai keyakinannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap dalam upaya pencegahan Covid-19 pada pedagang di Pasar Oesapa Kota Kupang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan Pra Eksperimen. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 30 responden. Berdasarkan analisis univariat, responden lebih banyak usia 46-55 tahun (53.3%), Jenis kelamin perempuan lebih banyak (53.3%), pendidikan responden paling banyak adalah SMA (20%), jenis dagangan paling banyak adalah penjual ikan (26.7%). Rerata nilai pengetahuan responden sebelum mendapatkan penyuluhan adalah 44.66 dan sesudah pemberian penyuluhan melalui media leaflet adalah 94.22 yang artinya terjadi peningkatan rerata nilai sebelum dan sesudah pemberian leaflet. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon,diperoleh nilai z-score sebesar 4.807 dengan nilai p value sebesar 0.000 yang artinya p<0.005 yang berarti Ada Pengaruh Peggunaan media leaflet terhadap Pengetahuan pedagang tentang Covid-19. Untuk variabel sikap, rerata nilai sikap responden sebelum mendapatkan penyuluhan adalah 72.85 dan sesudah pemberian penyuluhan melalui media leaflet adalah 97.46 yang artinya terjadi peningkatan rerata nilai sebelum dan sesudah pemberian leaflet. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon,diperoleh nilai z-score sebesar 4.793 dengan nilai p value sebesar 0.000 yang artinya p<0.005 yang berarti Ada Pengaruh Peggunaan media leaflet terhadap Sikap pedagang tentang Covid-19. Oleh karena itu direkomendasikan Puskesmas Oesapa agar lebih meningkatkan frekuensi kunjungan pemberian edukasi kesehatan kepada pedagang pasar tradisional di Kelurahan Oesapa.
Ice cubes are complementary food products that are added to drinks to make them cool and refreshing and are also in great demand by the public. Therefore, the ice cube production process must also meet food safety for the sake of public health. The research design used descriptive observation, to describe or provide an overview of the hygiene and sanitation of ice cube processing, as well as the bacteriological content of ice cubes produced by households at Pasar Malam Kampung Solor by conducting the Most probable Number (MPN) Escherichia coli test. The sample used the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The results of this study indicate that the hygiene and sanitation of ice cube processing for the home industry at Pasar Malam Kampung Solor have not met the requirements, seen from the use of raw water, the behavior of handlers, equipment, and unhygienic processing methods. The results of laboratory examinations found that 50% of the ice cube samples were negative and 50% of the ice cube samples were positive containing Escherichia coli bacteria with levels of Escherichia coli bacteria, namely 20 MPN/100 ml and 240 MPN/100 ml (not eligible) or exceeding the threshold > 0 MPN /100 ml according to Permenkes 492/Menkes/PER/IV/2010.
Good reproductive health will improve reproductive health and prevent reproductive health problems. The Indonesian Family Planning Association survey and On Track Media Indonesia (OTMI) found that around 29% to 31% of adolescents in East Nusa Tenggara had premarital sex. The impact of poor reproductive health behavior is unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection. This is a quantitative descriptive study that aimed to describe reproductive health behavior in high school students in Kupang City. The population in this study were high school students from grade XI and XII (6863 students) and a sample of 378 students taken by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The results showed a description of Genital Personal Hygiene behavior in high school students in Kupang City as good is 249 students (66%), while less is 129 students (34%). The pre-marital sexual behavior of high school students in Kupang City was at a risk is 85 students (29%) and 293 students (71%) were not at risk. The behavior of watching porn videos for high school students in Kupang City is 217 students (57.4%) have watched and 161 students (42.6%) have not watched porn videos/movies. Behavior discussing reproductive health among high school students in Kupang City is 216 students (57%) discussing reproductive health and 162 students (43%) do not discuss reproductive health. The Schools can give information about reproductive health to students by optimizing the program of Information and Counselling Center (PIK) that already available.
