The upper part of the Jabung sub-district has a rough morphology due to agricultural land use. Rough morphological conditions can lead to landslides, especially in the Taji Village area. This study describes the local wisdom of people living in landslide-prone areas to protect the environment, which could help Taji Village remain sustainable. The methods used were field surveys, observations and in-depth interviews regarding community life strategies to survive in landslide-prone areas. The community’s survival strategy is carried out in various ways, including as social activities that reflect mutual tolerance between members; land management in the form of floral arrangement on each part of the slope; and the use of certain areas as tourist attractions. Utilization of wood waste has many benefits with cheap raw materials, easy to obtain and if used as a unique product it will have a selling value and is very beneficial for the community because it has a variety of different types of products and functions. One source of waste that can be utilized is waste produced from cutting logs taken in the middle. Utilization of wood waste into works of art that will be able to increase youth income and reduce wood waste produced. Artworks made from wood waste in the form of decorative lamps, key chains, wall hangings, photo frames, stationery places. Utilization of wood waste can increase the income of young people who work as temporary laborers and be able to open their own jobs by turning wood waste into works of art that have economic value.
This research was conducted on the western flank of Mount Bromo, precisely on the upper slopes of Taji Village with a population of 1,286. Communities have intensively exploited land resources to meet their daily needs. Based on the physical condition, this area is rather not appropriate for living. In the other hand, the community had been survived to live in harmony with high potential erosion prone area. The purpose of this study is to elaborate disaster risk reduction strategies in the northwest part of Bromo Volcano Flank. The research method used is in-depth interviews, questionnaires and focus group discussions. We found an interesting fact that the local people are very aware of the environment in which they live. The community has several strategies for landslide risk reduction based on their experience and knowledge. The developed strategy still considers environmental, economic and social aspects. Even the community has developed its territory as a tourist destination in Malang Regency by offering natural beauty. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas belajar siswa dalam cara berfikir dan aktivitas belajar, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir dan aktifitas belajar siswa kelas VIII G SMP Negeri 1 Jabung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), terdiri dari dua siklus, setiap siklus terdapat empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, lembar kerjasiswa, lembar observasi kemampuan berfikir, dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir dan aktivitas belajar siswa, dari siklus I ke siklus II secara keseluruhan kemampuan berfikir kritis dalam aspek pengkajian, intepretasi, penyelesaian dan pengambilan keputusan diperoleh 71 % meningkat 3% dari siklus I. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model problem solving dapat membuat siswa lebih aktif dan kritis dalam hal memperhatikan, menjawab pertanyaan, bekerjasama, mempresentasikan jawaban, dan merespon jawaban siswa lainnya. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode SQ3R terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa di masa pandemi covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika semester 1 tahun akademik 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 28 mahasiswa. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data hasil aktivitas mahasiswa dan hasil angket respon mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian yang meliputi hasil diskusi, hasil latihan, hasil tugas kelompok, hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan metode SQ3R ≥75% mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep sistem bilangan real di masa pandemi covid-19. Hasil angket respon menunjukkan bahwa ≥75% mahasiswa sangat senang dengan penerapan metode SQ3R dalam pekuliahan secara daring. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R, yaitu Survey dalam aktivitas diskusi, Questions dalam aktivitas latihan, Read dalam aktivitas tugas, Recite dalam pertemuan virtual, dan Review dalam aktivitas kuis dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa di masa pandemi.Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the SQ3R method to students' understanding of mathematical concepts during the covid-19 pandemic. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used are students of the 1st semester of mathematics education study program for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 28 students. The data collected in this study are the data from student activities and the results of student response questionnaires. The results of the study which included discussion results, practice results, group assignment results, test results showed that through the application of the SQ3R method ≥75% of students experienced an increase in understanding the concept of the real number system during the covid-19 pandemic. The results of the response questionnaire show that 75% of students were very happy with the application of the SQ3R method in online lectures. So it can be concluded that the application of the SQ3R method, namely Survey in discussion activities, Questions in practice activities, Read in task activities, Recite in virtual meetings, and Review in quiz activities can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts during the pandemic.
