As associações são organizações sem fins lucrativos com o propósito de defender interesses coletivos, desenvolver atividades econômicas e impactar e transformar a vida das pessoas. Contudo, apresentam dificuldades em relação à gestão, principalmente, no que se refere aos custos, pois a prática contábil ainda é pouco estimulada. Uma ferramenta de custeio é essencial em qualquer tipo de organização e, nesse contexto, este trabalho buscou, através de uma pesquisa quantitativa, mensurar os custos gerenciais, por meio do método de Custeio Baseado em Atividades, de uma Associação de Mulheres que atua na produção de doces de coco artesanais. O estudo de caso foi desenvolvido em uma associação, na cidade de Lucena- PB-BR, que fabrica dois tipos de doces de coco: tradicional e de corte. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevistas, análise de documentos e a técnica de observação. Os resultados apontaram que a associação precisa formalizar seu Planejamento e Controle de Produção, para conseguir produzir com maior eficiência. Foram identificadas 52 micro atividades, sendo 77% delas consideradas Agregadoras de Valor aos produtos. A análise do custo gerencial dos produtos demonstrou que os doces tradicionais apresentam lucros, enquanto os doces de corte apresentam prejuízo para a associação.
