The purpose of this study was to investigate the theme of the abstract, the theme of the Title on Virtual Reality in the Sciences and Biomedical Sciences and to investigate the trends of authors and countries who are major contributors to research on virtual reality in the sciences and biomedical sciences, the researchers used metadata from 497 journals. scientifically indexed with topic modeling algorithms. The results of the study found that for virtual reality themes listed in the abstracts of science and biomedical fields, the words that often appear were study and systems related to pediatric surgery, stroke and cancer. Then the research theme in the virtual reality title regarding science and biomedicine is to get words that often appear, namely evaluation and videos that contain about the fields of dental health, stroke and cancer, Furthermore, from a technological point of view, it relates to head-mounted devices to display 2 or 3 dimensions, and educational psychometric technology relates to learning to care for children for students. While the sports side is related to the movement of the body's physical activity in adults. Analysis of research trends for authors and countries that are major contributors to virtual reality research on science and biomedical based on wordcloud analysis with names that often appear in virtual reality is Wiederhold BK and the dominant country is United State.
The development of the times and technology produces innovations that facilitate human activities, one of which is for librarians to control and maintain library rooms. This study aimed to implement a noise detection automation tool and a sound monitoring system based on the Arduino nano 33 BLE sense microcontroller in a library room. The Arduino processed the data from the sound sensor through the Edge Impulse platform. Suppose a sound with a value exceeds 0.6 and takes more than 10 seconds. In that case, the warning "QUIET, PLEASE!" will be displayed, and a sound warning will also be issued via a buzzer. The sound warning can be monitored to turn on and off the buzzer through the application. When the librarian wants to turn off the buzzer, they can click the button to turn off the speaker; on the other hand, if they want to keep the buzzer on, they can click the button to turn on the speaker.
Abstract-As in the peak period electricity demand is high, providing a demand model to analyze load condition particularly during maximum demand period is important in relation to keep continuity service to connected consumers. In this research, effect of meteorological variables and holidays particularly on daytime maximum demand period for a total load for five different demand areas in Makassar -Indonesia are observed by developed demand models based on regression method using hourly data. We firstly observe characteristics of demand for whole period through WPED m model as a basis analysis. Next, we explore typical characteristic when daytime maximum demand period by creating DMD m model. In order to find better model, some options for each model are composed and assessed by standard statistical tests. From results, it is confirmed the composed models are well validated. Load drivers and their effect on the observed demand periods are found unique.Index Terms-Demand characteristic, daytime maximum demand, meteorological variables, electricity demand model, Makassar.
This research investigates electricity consumption and typical occupants’ behaviors for rural households in Indonesia. A questionnaire is composed to get important information from respondents through direct survey located in several rural areas in Bone, South Sulawesi province as a case study. The information included such as owned household appliances, occupants’ behaviors regarding appliances usage, factors barriers in buying energy saving appliances (ESA), and general barriers in electricity saving. To get more information, regression analysis is also applied to identify relationship between perception and consumption habits. Results of this study show lamp, washing machine, and television are low watt appliances which majority owned by users with installed electricity at home is between 450 VA to 1,300 VA. A main barrier to have ESA is price, and lack information to support practising electricity saving. Next from regression results, perception variable is found affected usage behavior and also daily habit of occupants. Output of this study gives more insight in understanding characteristics of electricity consumption for rural households. They can be used as a basis in making effective energy saving program to dealing with issue related to growth load in power systems.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
