Objetivo. Valorar el impacto de la pandemia de COVID-19 en México respecto a los hábitos de vida, relaciones, nivel de adaptación, somatización e indicadores de salud mental. Método. El estudio utilizó un diseño transversal en el que participaron 7,693 adultos, los cuales respondieron el cuestionario en línea PSY-COVID, diseñado ad hoc, desde el 4 de junio hasta el 31 de julio de 2020. Resultados. Los hombres consideran tener una mayor afectación en la actividad física y las mujeres en la calidad de sueño, actividad laboral y relaciones con pareja y familiares. Más de la mitad de la muestra estudiada reportó haber sufrido cefalea al menos un día durante la pandemia. El análisis de componentes muestra la validez del instrumento, lo que permite evaluar correlaciones entre las diferentes dimensiones y resaltar las más altas. Discusión y conclusiones. La identificación de grupos vulnerables, como las mujeres, orientan las prioridades de atención psicológica que demanda el efecto que ha tenido la pandemia.
