The experiment was conducted in an unheated plastic house at Al-Abassia/Al-Najaf Governorate during autumn seasons of 2016. The objective of this work to study the effect of foliar and soil applied fertilizers on growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Siyff). Results indicated that: The foliar spray with 10ml L−1 of the liquid fertilizer was superior in all traits and studied gave the highest value in leaf area index (20.8) plant dry weight (40.9) g, IAA (185.85) mg kg−1, GA3 (187.2) mg kg−1, CK (178.1) mg kg−1. The treatment (F1) of mineral fertilizer was superior significantly in leaf area index (23.5) and plant dry weight (42.8) g. The treatment (F3) was superior in IAA (196.39) mg.kg−1 and GA3 (199.8) mg.kg−1, CK (196.1) mg kg−1. The results showed that the interaction treatment spraying foliar fertilizer at a concentration 10ml.L−1 and 50% of mineral fertilizer was superior significantly in IAA (211.83) mg.kg−1, GA3 (221.6) kg−1, CK (214.9) mg. kg−1.
This activity is aimed to determine the process of making organic fertilizer from agricultural and cattle waste in Seppee Village, Barru District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This activity was carried out in July with a demonstration method for the Sipakainge group totaling 25 people. The results showed that the members of the Sipakainge group were very active in making organic fertilizers by utilizing agricultural and cattle waste, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the activities’ process. Keywords: Manufacturing process; agricultural waste; cow waste; organic fertilizer ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat proses pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah pertanian dan limbah sapi di Desa Seppee, Kecamatan Barru, Kabupaten Barru, Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli dengan metode demonstrasi pada anggota kelompok Sipakainge berjumlah 25 orang. Bagian metode perlu ditambahkan penjelasan singkat pembuatan pupuk organic. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan anggota kelompok Sipakainge sangat aktif mengikuti pembuatan pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian dan limbah sapi sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi kegiatan pembuatan pupuk organik. In this scientific work, the writer will focus on discussing social movements based on the environment carried out by Non-profit Organizations namely Tangerang Earth Hour can be said as a forum or community that not only stands because of one goal of "Electricity Savings" but more than that now, this community aims to make the habit or culture of environmental care a lifestyle that should have been applied by all levels of society and must be sustainable. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods. The conclusion of this research is, the Earth Hour Tangerang movement is able to become a movement that has a good impact on the Tangerang Raya region. With a strategic approach and able to embrace the government, corporate, community, and also other communities, Earth Hour Tangerang has been able to raise the urgency of the importance of environmental care and also environmental issues in the Tangerang Raya region. Pada karya ilmiah ini penulis akan fokus membahas tentang gerakan sosial yang berbasis lingkungan yang dilakukan oleh organisasi non-profit yaitu Earth Hour Tangerang. Earth Hour dapat dikatan sebagai wadah atau komunitas yang bukan hanya berdiri karena satu tujuan “Penghematan Listrik” akan tetapi lebih dari itu sekarang, komunitas ini bertujuan menjadikan kebiasaan atau budaya peduli lingkungan menjadi suatu gaya hidup yang harusnya telah diaplikasikan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat dan harus berkelanjutan. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah gerakan Earth Hour Tangerang mampu menjadi sebuah gerakan yang memiliki pengaruh yang baik bagi wilayah Tangerang Raya dalam perspektif politik lingkungan. Dengan pendekatan yang strategis dan mampu merangkul pemerintah, korporat, masyarakat, dan juga komunitas lainnya, Earth Hour Tangerang sudah mampu mengangkat urgensi pentingnya pemeliharaan lingkungan dan juga isu lingkungan pada wilayah Tangerang Raya.
This research aimed to know the business profit analysis of rejected laying hen traders. This research was conducted at the Palakka Central Market located in Bone Regency. The type of research conducted in this research is quantitative. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data, which is data in the form of numbers. Quantitative data includes data on the number of sales, operating costs, and income of rejected laying hens. The population, namely the number of sellers of rejected laying hens amounted to 8 people. The data obtained from the interviews of respondents in the field were processed and tabulated, and then the data were analyzed. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the profit of the highest rejected layer (layer) traders was IDR. 3,454,075 and the least profit was amounting to IDR. 2,594,563 in one month. This profit itself was influenced by the costs incurred by the merchant and the amount sold to the buyer.
