Clove (Syzigium aromaticum) and lemongrass (Cymbopogon winterianus) are essential oil-producing plants that are widely available in Indonesia and have high economic value for medicinal and industrial needs because of their antioxidant activity. However, the information about the relationship between antioxidant activity and the DNA content in these plants was very limited. Especially because DNA isolation of aromatic plants is also not easy to do with methods that are widely used. Therefore, this study aims to isolate DNA from clove and lemongrass using a modified Doyle and Doyle method and to find the relationship between the quality and quantity of DNA with their antioxidant activity. The method used was the use of PVP, isopropanol and sodium acetate for the modification of the Doyle and Doyle method in DNA isolation followed by antioxidant analysis using DPPH. The results showed that the modification to the Doyle and Doyle method had obtained high concentrations of DNA. Besides that, the clove DNA content is higher than lemongrass which is supported by the antioxidant activity of both plants.
Autism is a functional neurological disorder that may cause impaired communication and behavioral patterns. Nutritional problems in autistic children tended to be found at SLB Negeri Semarang. Referring to the results of the discussions, three main nutritional problems were encountered in autistic children. First, there is a lack of education on diet programs provided for autistic children. Second, deficiency of the right method to introduce healthy food to autistic children due to their picky eating behavior. Third, the Covid-19 pandemic has led to large disruptions in controlling the nutrition of autistic children, especially for teachers and parents. Nutri-App innovation, namely menu calendar and augmented reality pop-up book, is considered capable of being used as an interactive food introduction media for autistic children. This program aimed to develop SLB Negeri Semarang in implementing a diet program for autistic children through the Nutri-App mobile and augmented reality pop-up book application. This program was conducted through the Nutrizone, containing: Nutri-Ready (Program planning), Nutri-Pandai (Guidance for readiness), Nutri-Tangkas (Activities and programs actualization), Nutri-Pantas (Program potential sustainability) with an integrative way for teachers and parents. The results showed an increase in understanding of the diet program, menu preparation skills, and balanced food introduction skills by 76%, 67%, and 64%. The program results show that the Nutri-App and AR pop-up books are very effective, with 4.6 and 4.7. In conclusion, the Nutrizone program can improve understanding of the diet program, menu preparation skills, and food introduction through an integrated program.
Indonesia is a country with a very high potential for disaster. This is supported by the existence of Indonesia which is surrounded by three world plates, namely the Eurasian plate, the Indian-Australian plate and the Pacific plate. One of natural disaster which occur in Indonesia is landslide. This situation has similarities with the research area located in the Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java. Aim of this research is to provide information on the level of influence of the class and conditioning factors of landslides, and a picture of areas that have vulnerability to landslides and as an effort to provide information to related parties. This research was conducted by geological mapping and remote sensing using DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and landsat-8 as field support data and visualization of the condition of the research area. The results of this study found that the results of mapping with frequency ratio method, the percentage of low insecurity is 66.83%, moderate insecurity is 17.94%, high insecurity is 1.87%, and very high insecurity is 0.02%. Areas with very high land movement potential are in karangkobar and pandanarum districts with a total area of 0.094589 km². The area has a very high potential because it has litology with volcanic rock types, very low vegetation and the presence of straightness. Therefore, various mitigations are needed both structural and non-structural.
Indonesia represents about 6% of the world's water sources. This shows that Indonesia has abundant water resources. However, the facts show that most areas of Indonesia experience a shortage of clean water supplies. This is because the spring can be lost within a certain period if there is no planning to maintain its availability. The solution offered is to fulfil clean water needs with the Kaizen method. Kaizen is a 5S philosophy that includes Seiri, Seinton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. This study aims to review the application of Kaizen methods and their sustainability to be applied in Indonesia. The methods used in this study are descriptive observational are aimed at describing and describing phenomena of a scientific and human engineering nature. The results of this study are packaged in the House Model. The House Model is a tool used by an organization using a concept built to transform into action. Some activities in the house model are tailored to meet the needs of partners and further increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the programs being implemented. The program also has good sustainability in community aspects, regulations, and government.
