This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the data sources used are primary data sources using in-depth interview with students and teachers. There are three data analysis techniques used, namely data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the process of the implementation of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in the mobile classroom community went well and systematically. The interaction process that occurs during online learning between students and teachers is quite active and communicative. However, the implementation of distance learning in the mobile classroom community faces some challenges, it is including the availability of internet data both for students and teachers, the limitation of using information technology for learning, and the parents support for learning. These challenges and obstacles were impacted on students’ motivation.
At present, the Indonesia child prison shows a commitment in the effort to change the condition of the convicted person through the process of education. The education process held in the prison is expected that child prisoners will have provision after they are leaving the correctional institution. The purpose of this study is to understand the important and benefit of prison education in Indonesia as perceived by inmate students. Data for this study was gathered from 60 inmate-students from lower and upper secondary prison-based school participated in in-depth interviews. The method of qualitative analysis used within this research is thematic analysis. Inmate students reveal that a common curricular feature of the prison school was the opportunity to earn "easy credits". They are also appreciating the opportunity to catch up on missed months or even years of school, enabling inmate students to make significant progress toward secondary school graduation. The prison school was in many ways a positive experience in which the students received attention for prison staffs and achieved academically.

The idea of prison education program can imbue the learning with the skills, values and attitudes necessary for young inmates back onto society. This research study examines the role of educators in prison-based school. Educators of inmate students have unique dedication to their profession and role to develop individual agency among inmate students. We draw on interviews and observation data from a study of an Indonesia prison school to understand the experiences and role taken as a prison educator. Perspective transformation is utilized as a theoretical framework to analyze the data by emphasizing if the prison educators understand the meaning of their teaching experiences and the role, they play in the prison school. The research findings reveal that each prison educator play a different role such as co-learner and mentor, counsellor, second parent, and provocateur and police officer. The prison educators in this study also held many hope and aspiration about being a transformative educator for many young inmates.
