This study aimed to design a flip book as a learning media using the flipbook builder application. The purpose of designing this learning media was to support the online learning process. This study used the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The products were validated by media experts and material experts. The learning media was tested on small groups and large groups. Qualitative data were converted into quantitative data which were then tabulated and analyzed in a quantitative and qualitative descriptive manner to determine the quality of the product being developed. The results showed that the learning media that was developed is good quality.

Abstrak: Kesenian Wayang Topeng Jatiduwur merupakan peninggalan Majapahit yang hidup dan berkembang ratusan tahun di desa Jatiduwur sebagai kesenian khas Jombang. Tetapi masih banyak dari masyarakat tidak mengetahui keberadaan Topeng Jatiduwur yang memiliki keunikan bentuk visual Topeng, warna, ornament, pertunjukan dan nilai sejarahnya. Tujuan penciptaan ini adalah mendeskripsikan ide konsep motif batik inspirasi Topeng Jatiduwur Jombang, mendeskripsikan proses kreatif motif kain batik dari tokoh Triloka dan upaya pelestarian Topeng Jatiduwur melalui motif batik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kreatif terdiri dari beberapa tahap; merumuskan kreasi ide motif batik inspirasi Topeng Jatiduwur Jombang, eksplorasi ide konsep, eksplorasi desain dan teknik, proses kreatif mewujudkan motif batik, hasil kreatif motif batik, dan analisis hasil kreatif. Hasil kreatif penciptaan berupa enam kain motif batik dengan teknik digital printing diharapkan memberikan efektifitas proses produksi kain batik skala besar, dan nantinya kain dapat digunakan sebagai bahan sandang dengan judul karya sebagai berikut; Jadur Darana, Jadur Prasasta, Jadur Wahya, Jadur Danurweda, Jadur Jasayasa, dan Jadur Lembahmana. Preservation is what maintains values and customs which have grown and developed alongside cultural practices. Values, traditions, customs, and cultures that grow in a society become important social assets or models that empower the community to understand their quality of life and welfare. People’s demands on batik are increasing; therefore, there is a shift in the meaning of batik motifs from traditional ones to new creations, allowing them to follow the latest designs and developments. This article attempts to describe the challenges to the existence of batik, which needs to be preserved against mass batik production. This article emphasizes the visual aspect of batik production. The study also describes how to preserve batik in order for it to survive, and the challenges experienced by society related to the development of batik’s visual aspect which will gradually accelerate batik production.

Batik is very adaptive as it develops and follows the changing of times. Therefore, it is always consistent with the socio-cultural development. Although the development of batik in some regions influenced each other, Gajah Oling batik from Banyuwangi had its own history and uniqueness. To survive, the culture and society must always adapt to life changes. Socio-cultural changes are influenced by factors like technologies and times. Originally, Gajah Oling batik was only used for sacred purposes, but it is now a favorite in the creative industry and has huge challenges in the community. The method used to explore the esthetic adaptation of batik makers to sociocultural backgrounds is qualitative research supported by culture studies. Gajah Oling batik motif still remains and is used in Seblang dance and as uniforms. Besides being produced by the Osing tribe, Gajah Oling batik has also been produced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
