Kemandirian dalam belajar biasanya belum dimiliki oleh siswa dan menjadi permasalahan yang sering diabaikan. Sehingga siswa untuk memenuhi kriteria mandiri dalam belajar perlu mendapat perlakuan khusus dari tenaga pendidik, serta konselor untuk membantu menangani siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar yang rendah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa melalui penerapan konseling behavior dengan teknik cognitive restructuring pada siswa kelas X Akuntansi 1 SMK Sultan Agung Tirtomoyo. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode PTBK dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 siswa kelas X Akuntansi 1 SMK Sultan Agung Tirtomoyo yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dengan 2 kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan rumus percentage correction. Indikator keberhasilan dari penelitian ini bila didapat rata-rata presentase mencapai 75%. Hasil observasi pra siklus menunjukan kemandirian belajar siswa masih dikategorikan rendah dengan rata – rata nilai 48,8%. Setelah tindakan pada siklus I, terjadi peningkatan dengan rata – rata nilai menjadi 71,5%. Selanjutnya tindakan pada siklus II rata–rata nilai menjadi 86,3%, sehingga telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditentukan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan konseling behavior dengan teknik cognitive restructuring dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas X Akuntansi 1 SMK Sultan Agung Tirtomoyo.
