The embedment of soft skills into education programs in higher education is closely related to the curriculum philosophy brought by the respective institutions. The soft skills are embedded through understanding belief systems and practices among the teacher trainers. Furthermore it provides an insight into the curriculum philosophy on how to implement soft skills embedment. Therefore, this study aimed to understand teacher trainers' understanding and teaching practice in embedding soft skills while teaching core courses for the Bachelor of Teaching Program (PISMP) at the Malaysia Institute of Teacher Education (IPG). This understanding is necessary in order to resolve the misunderstanding that embedding soft skills are burdensome for the teacher trainers and that it is only documented without being practiced. The case study methodology was used through a qualitative approach. Five teacher trainers with different backgrounds and teaching experience participated as respondents. The findings resulted in improved understanding on teacher trainers' understanding about soft skills embedment and how the actual process of embedding soft skills occurred. The results of this study allow those involved in the development of student-teachers' soft skills to generate ideas to develop models for soft skills embedment that are in line with the interpretation of PISMP soft skills.
Supervision has become a highlight in higher education in recent years. While striving for the quality of education, the stress in research supervision has become dominant. Excellent research can contribute to the prominent of institutions' image. This paper accumulates the models from expert scholars in students' development regarding supervision issue. The models have their own functions and strengths. This can be proved by revising at the thorough implementation. Most supervision approaches and models have mutual aptitude: (1) The relationship establishment that was built on good communication, expectation and confidentiality; (2)The formulation of student-based, agreed upon aims and outputs; and (3)A systematic training and learning process in relation to the goals. This paper will discuss appropriate models that can be studied in student development.
Beberapa strategi ditempuh perbankan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan ragam layanan keuangan, dimana sejumlah bank mengembangkan digital banking secara internal (in house) yang berfokus pada multichannel delivery terutama m-banking, sehingga fungsi layanan bank menjadi lebih efisien. Salah satu konstruksi model yang kiranya dapat membuktikan penerimaan dan penggunaan teknologi m-banking adalah model unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa harapan kinerja, harapan berusaha, pengaruh sosial, kondisi fasilitas, jenis kelamin, dan usia berpengaruh langsung dan signifikan terhadap niat berperilaku menggunakan m-banking, serta untuk membuktikan bahwa niat berperilaku berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku menggunakan m-banking. Lokasi penelitian di 2 Kota dan 8 Kabupaten di Provinsi Nusa Tengara Barat. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan sampel survey, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 nasabah pengguna m-banking. Teknik sampling menggunakan metode judgement sampling, adapun alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner memanfaatkan aplikasi google form. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan alat analisis SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa bahwa dari 4 variabel yakni harapan kinerja, harapan usaha, dukungan sosial, dan kondisi fasilitas, hanya harapan usaha yang tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sedangkan harapan kinerja, dukungan sosial, dan kondisi fasilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat berperilaku menggunakan m-banking. Efek moderasi jenis kelamin dan usia tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat berperilaku dan perilaku menggunakan m-banking. Adapun niat berperilaku berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku menggunakan m-banking pada bank konvensional dan bank syariah di Provinsi NTB. Perilaku menggunakan m-banking dapat diukur melalui niat dan dianggap sebagai variabel penting dalam penerimaan teknologi, hal tersebut secara eksplisit diungkapkan bahwa niat perilaku sebenarnya mengarah pada penggunaan teknologi.
Numerous studies have been concerned on organizational commitment among profit worker oppositely organizational commitment's studies which focused on nonprofit worker tend to be lack. Nonprofit employee generally recruit and involve volunteer to run their program. Several nonprofit organizations' program is related to non-formal education. For that matter, this study was conducted to evaluate volunteer involvement which especially concern on non-formal education. The objective of this study is to examine relationship between motivation and organizational commitment among volunteer scout as well as find the best predictor affecting organizational commitment. This study used volunteer scout organization since this organization run within non-formal education area. The research used quantitative study to analyze the data. The instrument that has been utilized to collect the data was self administered questionnaire. The data was analyzed descriptively as well as inferentially. Majapahit 62 Mataram 83125)Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui bagaimana cara Amil dalam mengelola zakat di Kota Bima, 2) mengetahui peranan Amil sebagai pengelola zakat dalam mensejahterakan umat di Kota Bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa cara amil mengelola zakat yaitu ada yang sesuai dengan prinsip kenabian dan ada yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip kenabian. Sedangkan peranannya sebagai pengelola untuk kesejahteraan umat belumlah terlalu maksimal yaitu dengan melihat pendayagunaan dana zakat. Dimana pendayagunaannya lebih banyak diarahkan ke yang bersifat konsumtif sedangkan yang sifat produktif sangat sedikit.Abstract: This research aims to: 1) know how to manage your Amil way in Zakat Management in the Bima city, 2) know the role of Amil as Zakat manager in the people's welfare in the Bima city. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with field research type (field research). The reseach results found that the Amil way manages zakat namely there is in accordance with the prophethood principle and is not in accordance with the prophethood principle. While his role as a manager for the people's welfare is not yet maximum by looking at the utilization of Zakat funds. Where its utilization is more directed to consumptive nature while the productive nature is too few.
