O aprendizado de máquina por stream possibilita a detecção de ataques de rede em tempo real, processando as instâncias e inspecionando-as apenas uma vez. Entretanto, as características de rede utilizadas por esses sistemas são dinâmicas e podem se tornar redundantes ou irrelevantes durante o processo de detecção, o que impacta diretamente no desempenho desses algoritmos, dificultando a implementação dessas propostas em ambientes reais. Neste trabalho propomos a utilização de técnicas de seleção de características em stream para melhorar o desempenho da detecção de ataques de rede. Nossos resultados, utilizando três bases de referência em segurança, mostram que a seleção de característica impacta diretamente na detecção dos ataques, com redução de até 93% no tempo de detecção.
Introdução: a doença meningocócica é patologia de notificação compulsória, causada pela bactéria Neisseria meningitidis, capaz de produzir amplo espectro clínico, cujos fatores de risco estão relacionados a aglomeração no domicílio, tabagismo, dentre outros. No Brasil, é uma doença endêmica com ocorrência periódica de surtos epidêmicos em vários municípios e principal causadora de meningite bacteriana. Como medidas de prevenção e controle são realizadas a vacinação e a quimioprofilaxia. Objetivo: o trabalho tem como objetivo principal a análise crítica sobre os casos confirmados e óbitos ocorridos por doença meningocócica registrados entre os anos de 2010 e 2017. Métodos: realizou-se um estudo descritivo dos casos confirmados e dos óbitos por doença meningocócica registrados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação, com data do início dos sintomas em janeiro de 2010 a dezembro de 2016. A data da atualização do banco de dados do sistema foi abril de 2017. Resultados: quando comparados os casos confirmados no ano de 2010 e 2016, percebe-se um declínio. Quando se analisa o número de óbitos, verifica-se que este diminuiu mais de 60%. A taxa de incidência também decaiu significativamente. Apesar da queda observada, a taxa de letalidade vem mantendo-se estável. Conclusões: de acordo com nossa interpretação dos dados analisados, os casos confirmados, assim como os óbitos por doença meningocócica, diminuíram ao longo dos anos, principalmente depois da introdução da vacina meningocócica conjugada para o sorogrupo C. Apesar de todo sucesso observado, é necessário manter uma vigilância efetiva sobre a doença meningocócica.
O cache em rede é uma importante característica de Redes Centrada em Conteúdo (RCCs). A escolha dos nodos que armazenarão o conteúdo é um grande desafio e uma boa maneira de fazer isso é através de medidas de centralidade de rede, que descrevem a importância de um nodo, dada uma característica. Entretanto, o grande número de medidas torna a escolha dos nodos ainda mais desafiadora, pois é incerto se uma medida escolhida resultará num alto desempenho em diferentes cenários, dada a sua forte dependência da estrutura topológica. Por conta disso, uma boa alternativa seria considerar a correlação entre elas para selecioná-los. Neste trabalho, propõe-se uma política de inserção de conteúdo baseada na correlação entre medidas de centralidade para selecionaráquelas forte ou mais fortemente correlacionadas para armazenar o conteúdo nos seus nodos correspondentes. Por meio de simulação e utilizando uma boa variedade de topologias nos testes, nossa proposta superou o desempenho das políticas de inserção em termos de taxa de acertos de conteúdo e tempo médio de download.
