Triunfos de amor y fortuna de Antonio de Solís y Ribadeneyra destaca como uno de los mayores éxitos del teatro español del s. XVII, cuya sucesión de representaciones durante la época llegó a más de sesenta. Esta circunstancia no puede menos que hacernos reflexionar sobre la naturaleza del vínculo entre el público y la obra y sobre los requisitos del espectador aurisecular con los que esta fiesta teatral tenía que cumplir a la perfección. Por lo tanto, en el presente artículo se propone analizar los estímulos sensoriales, emocionales e intelectuales que tendía a transmitir la puesta en escena desde una perspectiva esteticista o, más precisamente, vía la aplicación del concepto de distancia psíquica. Considerada la gran importancia de los efectos visuales de particular espectacularidad y de las numerosas intervenciones musicales, el enfoque del estudio se centra en los recursos audiovisuales de la representación.
Este artículo mostrará mi propuesta de análisis de la recepción en el teatro musical del Siglo de Oro desde la perspectiva del concepto de “distancia psíquica”. Consciente de la gran laguna en los estudios de la recepción en el Siglo de Oro español, me dispongo a proponer un método esteticista para abordar un acercamiento al público aurisecular. En primer lugar, presentaré el propio fenómeno de distancia psíquica y, a partir de allí, me iré adentrando en mi propuesta para plantear un estudio filosófico-cultural. Con el fin de ilustrarla, ejemplificaré mi análisis del plano visual en tres obras del compositor Juan Hidalgo: Los celos hacen estrellas, Los juegos olímpicos e Ícaro y Dédalo.
El presente artículo propone un análisis del tratamiento de los recursos mitológicos en Ícaro y Dédalo, de Melchor Fernández de León, y su posible influencia en el nexo psíquico entre el público y la obra. El método de trabajo consiste en la aplicación de la noción de «distancia psíquica», un concepto filosófico orientado al involucramiento emocional en un momento de apreciación estética. Con la ayuda de esta herramienta, me dispongo a examinar los impulsos psíquicos producidos por el uso de la materia mitológica en la elaboración del argumento, los personajes y los símbolos de la zarzuela aurisecular. El objetivo final del trabajo es, sirviéndose del ejemplo de Ícaro y Dédalo, detectar los reflejos de la mentalidad de la sociedad del siglo XVII latentes en la predilección por la temática mitológica en el teatro musical de la época.
