This study combines the results of studies on the effect of plyometric training on back and leg muscle strength in different places and times to reveal the overall effect sizes of these results. For this purpose, between 2000-2020 years of plyometric training method in Turkey, back and legs taken the subject of the effect on muscle strength parameters of the Council of Higher Education of the National Thesis Archive, Google and academic journals park websites postgraduate published in theses and research papers by the inclusion of studies appropriate studies are discussed. Studies that do not meet the specified criteria are excluded from this study. For the studies whose heterogeneity value is above normal, moderator analysis of training duration, sports branch and broadcast type variables were done. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) program was used for experimental meta-analysis. According to the results of the meta-analysis data of this study, the effect of plyometric training on the back muscle strength was 0.404 in the fixed effects model; in the random effects model, it was found to be moderate with an effect size of 0.408. In the fixed effects model for leg muscle strength, 0.478; in the random effects model, it was determined that it has a moderate effect size with a moderate effect size with an effect size of 0.525. Considering the results of this study; for the development of back and leg muscle strength, plyometric training can be said to be moderately effective.
The purpose of this study was to determine and assess the physical activity levels of university students. A total of 762 healthy students (410 of whom were female, and 352 of them were male) studying at departments in Amasya University participated in the study on a voluntary basis. The data in this paper were collected through the Pyhsical Activity Assessment Questionnaire (PAAQ). All data on the physical activity levels of the participants were analyzed via descriptive statistics, such as frequencies and percentages, while the correlations on the physical activities and Body Mass Index (BMI) were evaluated by means the Pearson Correlation Analysis method. Following the analysis, it was found that 63.6% of students perform physical activity for 2-4 hours daily, whereas 31.8% spend 5-8 hours daily, doing physical activity. The so-called activities were found as: 46.5% several walks, 36.2% house chores, 41.7% different hobbies, 14.2% jogging, and 21.8% sports activities. Further, it was concluded that as the number of the days of physical activity increases, the BMI statistically significantly decreases (P<0.05), but the duration for house chores increases, the BMI statistically significantly increases (P<0.01). Additionally, there was a linear correlation between physical activity and house chores and hobbies (P<0.01). Based on the findings, it can be noted that the majority of the students in Amasya University are engaged in physical activity, but the activities are generally found as walks, hobbies, and house chores.
The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of 12-week regular zumba exercises on antropometric properties. A total of 20 women who participated in the study were consisted of 10 for experimental group and 10 for control group with a mean age of 38.25 ± 4.22 who performed regular zumba exercise for 12 weeks. In the research, two measurements were taken as pre and post tests. In the study, body fat percentage measurements were taken by bioelectrical impedance analyses method and ciccumference measurements were taken by tape measure. The data obtained at the end of the research were evaluated in SPSS program. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation values of the measurements, intra and intergroup differences and percentage development differences were obtained. According to the findings of the research, a significant difference of p<0.001 value has been detected, as a result of the measurements taken for the body weight, BMI, BFB, waist, hip, abdomen, chest, lower chest, right leg, left leg, right calf, left calf, right arm and left arm measurements. With regard to the hip circumference, no significant difference has been detected between the groups. The change rates were observed within a 12-week period are as follows: 4,80% in the body weight, 4,87% in BMI, 5,75% in the BFP, 3,82% in the waist, 3,91% in the hip, 3,91% in the abdomen, 3,88% in the hip, 2,69% in the chest, 4,01% in the lower chest, 5,07% in the right leg, 4,76% in the left leg, 5,44% in the right calf, 5% in the left calf, 4,41% in the right arm and 3,78% in the left arm. A significant difference was found at the p <0.001 level in the first and last measurements of all variables of Zumba group. In conclusion, it can be said that 12-week regular Zumba exercises have effects on the reduction of Antropemetric properties. Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file. Özet Bu araştırma düzenli zumba egzersizlerinin antropometrik özellikler üzerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 12 hafta düzenli zumba egzersizi yapan ve yaş ortalaması 38,25±4,22 olan 10 deney grubu ve 10 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 20 kadın katılmıştır. Araştırmada ön ve son test olmak üzere 2 ölçüm alınmıştır. Araştırmada vücut yağ yüzdesi ölçümleri biyoelektrik impedans yöntemi ve çevre ölçümleri mezure ile alınmıştır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen veriler SPSS programında değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre; vücut ağırlığı, BKİ, VYY, bel, kalça, karın, basen, göğüs, göğüs altı, sağ bacak, sol bacak, sağ baldır, sol baldır, sağ kol ve sol kol çevresinde ölçümler sonucunda p<0,001 düzeyinde anlamlı fark vardır. 12 haftalık periyotta deney grubunun vücut ağırlığında %4,80, BKİ %4,87, VYY %5,75, bel %3,82, kalça %3,91, karın %4,36, basen %3,88, göğüs %2,69, göğüs altı %4,01, sağ bacak %5,07, sol bacak %4,76, sağ baldır %5,42, sol baldır %5, sağ kol %4,41 ve sol kol %3,78 oranında gelişim görünmektedir. Zumba grubunun tüm değişkenlerinin ilk ve son ölçümlerinde p<0,001 düzeyinde anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. In this study, it was aimed to determine the performance characteristics and skill levels specific to the sport branch and to determine the talent and to direct the correct branch while the children with very high potential in our country are directed to the spore. The sample group of this study consisted of 124 volunteer middle school students, 62 girls 11,13 years and 62 boys 11,06 years, aged, who had never been trained in any sport branch in Ankara. The performance features include a vertical jump test, a long jump test, a 20 m speed run test, a health ball throw test, and a hand throw test for handball talent detection, triple jump shooting, throwing ball, throwing ball to the target on the wall, test was applied. Statistical analyzes of the measurements were made in the SPSS 22 program. When the total scores of the male and female students who applied the handball ability test battery were examined, it is determined that there are 17 female and 22 male students with good and very good level. As a result; It is thought that 15 male and 11 female learners may be more successful in the handball field than other students and therefore it is appropriate to direct these students to the handball branch.

Fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin cinsiyet özelliği açısından incelenmesiamacıyla yaptığımız bu çalışmanın metaanaliz sonuçlarına göre, fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin etki büyüklüğü erkekler lehine daha fazla etki büyüklüğüne sahiptir.
