Abstract-The aim of this study was to investigate the difference between the effect of using traditional teaching instruction and using iPad to teach math for first grade students. This study was conducted in one private elementary school in Jordan. The study used a quasi-experimental control design. Students have access to a few math software and websites that was downloaded to improve their math skills. Every student in the experimental group will have a personal iPad to be used during their math class period. Both groups will be given a pre-test and a post-test to measure their achievements in math. The motive for this research was encouraging teachers and students to use iPad for educational purpose instead of use it most of the time for fun and games. it a helpful tool to be used as part of the mathematic learning process. Also, there are many software and internet sites that can be downloading in the iPadt to improve students' math skills.
The aim of this study is to investigate highereducation student"s attitude toward the use of Facebook, as one of the social media tool, to enhance their education. This study was conducted on college students at one of the Jordanian higher educational institution. The number of participants of this study was forty five students who were enrolled in Computer Educational course. This course is either a graduation requirement for all elementary education major students or as an elective course for other student"s non-computer majors. We noticed that each student has created a Facebook Page to use for the class purposes and other page(s) for their own personal needs. The result of the study showed that the Facebook site is a useful tool to deliver course materials and support learning. Students have showed their acceptance of this media to communicate with others and to find course materials and references. Most participants felt motivated and enjoyed going through the course when using the Facebook site.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of computer simulation Instruction (CSI) on students' achievements: Carrying out chemical experiments to acquire chemical concepts for eleventh grade students. The subject of the study consisted two sections of a one girl's high school in Jordan. One section was randomly assigned to experimental group in which computer simulation Instruction (CSI) was used, and the other section was randomly assigned to control group in which students were instructed by using the traditional teaching instruction. The findings indicated that there is progress on the part of the experimental group which used the computer simulation Instruction (CSI) and this was reflected positively in the students' achievement in carrying out chemical experiments to acquire chemical concepts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
