Plant hormones can be defi ned as organic substances that are produced in one part of plant and translocated to another parts, where at very low concentration, They stimulate physiological response. Plant hormones are natural products and when they are synthesized chemically they are called plant growth regulators. Plants are usually subjected to environmental factors such as drought or high soil and water salinity. The reduction in plant growth exposed to saline environments could be due to either the effects of specifi c ions on metabolism, or adverse water relations. Different strategies are being employed to maximize plant growth under saline conditions. One of them is to produce salt tolerant genotypes of different crops. Attempts to improve tolerance to salinity through conventional plant breeding methods are time consuming and laborious, and rely on existing genetic variability. In addition, many other attempts have been made to overcome this disorder, including proper management and exogenous application of plant growth regulators. In this context, the levels of gibberellic acid (GA), abscisic acid (ABA), indoleacetic acid (IAA), cytokinins (CK), jasmonates (JA) and triazoles under salt stress are being discussed in this review.
Sonuçlara göre, nar ağaçlarına yapraktan uygulanan Ca ve K'un, meyve verim ve beslenme düzeyine yararlı etkileri bulunmaktadır.ABSTRACT icaz pomegranate is the most grown pomegranate variety in Ortaca Muğla region. For the experiment potassium and calcium were foliarly applied on Hicaz pomegranate leaves in two separate orchards in order to evaluate the effect of fertilizers on yield and leaf nutrient contents. For this purpose during 2010-2011 period, 1.5 and 3% KNO3, 1.5 and 3% Ca(NO3)2, 0.75% KNO3 + 0.75% Ca(NO3)2 and 1.5% KNO3 + 1.5% Ca(NO3)2 were foliarly applied on leaves. After the applications; P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu and Na nutrient contents of leaves were determined. According to the results of the experiment; the amount of yield with 3% KNO3 applications was slightly increased. As a result of the nutrient analysis of the leaves collected in the second orchard an increase of Ca was determined in comparison to the control parcels. It was determined that K content in the leaves was increased by KNO3 applications. Similarly, the Ca content in the leaves was increased by Ca(NO3)2 applications. According to the results, Ca and K foliar sprays had positive affects on the fruit yield and leaf nutrients concentration of pomegranate.
Anahtar Kelimeler: Domates, tuzluluk, potasyum, kalsiyum, antioksidatif sistem Does Potassium and Calcium Affect the Antioxidative System of TomatoPlant Under Salt Effect? Abstract: In this study which was conducted under greenhouse conditions, the impacts of calcium and potassium compounds on the % DM (dry matter) and % EC (electrical conductivity), % RWC (relative water content), and proline, antioxidative system in tomato plant (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) under salt stress were investigated. Three different concentrations of salt (50, 100 and 150 mM as NaCl) and potassium and calcium (20 mM as KNO3 and CaNO3) were applied. The compounds of Ca and K which were given in tomato plants in addition to salt, were regulated to antioxidative system, decreased lipid peroxidation increasing with salt and ameliorated RWC%, EC% and DM% by reducing the detrimental effects of salt. Based on these results, it was concluded that Ca and K compounds applied to tomato plant grown under salt stress, supported plant growth and mitigated stress effects. Keywords: Tomato, salinity, potassium, calcium, antioxidative system GirişBitkilerde yaşamlarının herhangi bir döneminde çevresel faktörlerin etkisiyle ortaya çıkabilen ve metabolizmayı olumsuz etkileyerek gelişmeyi duraklatma ya da sonlandırma kuvvetine sahip her türlü etken stres olarak adlandırılabilir.
Araştırmada arıtma çamurunun kesme gül yetiştiriciliğinde kullanımının mümkün olduğu uygulanan tüm dozların kontrol uygulamasına göre başarılı olduğu, hem bitki gelişimi hem de kaliteyi olumlu yönde etkilediği saptanmıştır.ABSTRACT valuable product that sewage sludge contains in organic matter and nutrients, has become an important problem with negative effects on the environment. The effect of sewage sludge applied in four different doses to soil as 0 %, 20 %, 40 %, 60 % respectivly on the growth, yield and flower quality of Rosa canina 'Laxa' grafted on Rosa sp. "Akito" were investigated. The results associated with plant growth, yield and quality parameters indicated that shoot and root fresh and dry weight per plant, root lenght of plant, flower number per plant, flower body lenght and width, Bud lenght and width increased by the application of sewage sludge. The maximum values for the parameters were observed in media containing % 40 sewage sludge but with more increasing sewage sludge dosage, all parameters a decreasing trend became apparent. Thus it is suggested that sewage sludge and soil mix may be further exploited as a standard potting media and that the addition of 60 % or more sewage sludge to potting media is not recommended for cut roses.
