HERE are 11 cases of posttraumatic false aneurysm of the middle meningeal artery in the world literature. 2,~,7,8,1o,1~2-~4 Six of them were complicated by extradural hematomaY ,~,12,~4 The purpose of this paper is to report one more case causing extradural hematoma and to emphasize the importance of angiography in diagnosis and treatment.
Leptomeningeal cysts of the brain t h a t result from t r a u m a are not c o m m o n lesions, considering the few cases reported in the literature in comparison with the vast numbers of head t r a u m a. This condition has been known a n d reported under a variety of headings for over 100 years, u Recently, we came across a case in an infant. T h e reason for reporting it is the comparative rarity of the lesion but more especially its unusual features. I t presented a combination of a cephalhydrocele a n d a large cerebral cyst connected together t h r o u g h a hiatus in the bone. This feature will be elaborated later.
