The Morel-Lavallée lesion is a closed, post-traumatic, soft tissue degloving injury. There is separation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the underlying fascia resulting in an effusion and creation of a perifascial space often containing lymph and necrotic fat.We present a case of a 70-year-old female that was referred to us with a painful right thigh after a fall from her bike. Ultrasound showed a persistent MLL and an ultrasound-guided injection with cortisone was injected the MLL, which resolved the patient's complaints. Level of evidence: Level 4.

In 20 random cadaveric feet, the arterial plantar arch, its anastomosis with the medial plantar artery, and the communication between the lateral plantar and the dorsal arteries of the foot were studied. The anatomic variations found in this material are described and illustrated. The presence of a "classic" anastomosis between the medial and lateral plantar arteries was observed in only 20 percent of cases. The "classic" conjunction of the dorsal artery with the lateral plantar artery was found in 95 percent of cases. The authors conclude that most variations in the contributions to the plantar arch have not been previously reported, and these may have clinical consequences.

We report a rare case of a 39-year-old man with bilateral posterior dislocated shoulder joints with comminuted fractures of the humeral heads after an epileptic seizure. Posterior shoulder dislocations prove to be a diagnostic challenge and in this case were missed at initial presentation. After a failed attempt of osteosynthesis and removal of material, he received a hemi-prosthesis in separate stages on both sides.
