El estudio presenta el objetivo de determinar la relación del uso de las redes sociales y las habilidades sociales, en estudiantes del sexto grado de la educación básica regular, en una muestra de 103, determinada por conveniencia, con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, correlacional y transversal. Los datos fueron recabados mediante dos instrumentos. Se utilizó el cuestionario de Adicción a Redes Sociales de Escurra y Salas y el cuestionario de Goldstein, Sprafkin, Gershaw y Klein. En conclusión, existe relación inversa entre variables estudiadas; a mayor adicción a las redes sociales menores serán las habilidades sociales; la correlación es negativa; si aumenta la adicción a las redes sociales, disminuyen las habilidades sociales.
