Regrettably, we have found an error in Table 2. The amount of D-lactic acid in vaginal communities dominated by Lactobacillus crispatus should be 1.32 mM, with a range of 0.26 to 4.80 mM, but the value in the published paper is 0.32 mM. Please note that the L/D-lactic acid ratio in the table is correct (and was calculated using 1.32 mM D-lactic acid).
