INTRODUÇÃO: Qualquer indivíduo com deficiência, independentemente da sua faixa etária, tem direito a acessar todos os níveis de atenção à saúde do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), a fim de receber serviços qualificados que supram as suas necessidades (BRASIL, 2010). No entanto, pessoas deficientes costumam enfrentar diversos obstáculos que comprometem a universalidade e a equidade de acesso ao SUS na atenção primária, tanto barreiras físicas como comunicativas (CASTRO et al., 2011). OBJETIVO: Analisar a acessibilidade de Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) para deficientes físicos, visuais e auditivos pela visão de profissionais de UBS em Fortaleza. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal, prospectiva, com abordagem predominantemente qualitativa, realizada por meio da aplicação de questionários a profissionais tanto da área da saúde quanto de outros domínios de cinco UBS pertencentes à Regional II de Saúde de Fortaleza-CE. Os entrevistados foram questionados acerca da frequência em que funcionários da UBS atendiam pacientes com deficiências; da qualidade da estrutura da UBS para atender portadores de deficiência física, auditiva ou visual; da autopercepção do profissional da UBS em relação à sua capacidade para acolher portadores das necessidades especiais supracitadas; e, por fim, das sugestões desses profissionais para aperfeiçoar sua capacitação no atendimento de portadores de deficiência física, auditiva ou visual, além de haver questionamentos acerca de dados demográficos. Os dados foram armazenados na plataforma Excel, e a análise estatística geral foi realizada por meio do Statistical Package for Social Sciences versão 11.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL). RESULTADOS: A pesquisa obteve amostra de 59 indivíduos, que se enquadraram como profissionais atuantes na UBS, havendo 41 (70,7%) entrevistados do sexo feminino e 17 (29,3%) do sexo masculino. Quanto à análise sobre o grupo dos deficientes físicos, 7(11,9%) dos profissionais nunca atenderam esse tipo de público na UBS, enquanto 22 (37,3%) tiveram contato mais de 15 vezes. Quanto à aptidão, 76,3% dos participantes se consideraram aptos para atender esse público, enquanto apenas 23,7% se consideraram inaptos. Em relação aos deficientes visuais, 15 (25,4%) entrevistados nunca tiveram contato com esse grupo na UBS, já a maioria 24 (40,7%) o atendeu entre uma a quatro vezes, com amostra declarando apenas 33,9% de aptidão. O subgrupo de deficiência auditiva apresentou a menor aptidão dentre os outros pacientes, mostrando apenas 23,7% de aptidão dentre os profissionais, havendo 15 (25,4%) entrevistados que nunca atenderam esse tipo de público, apresentando relatos de sugestões como: "Capacitar pelo menos um profissional do posto para direcionar o atendimento". A análise de satisfação dos profissionais com a UBS quanto à acessibilidade mostrou que 30%, 66,1% e 74,1% dos entrevistados, respectivamente, avaliaram sua Unidade Básica como inadequada para receber deficientes físicos, visuais e auditivos, a exemplo do relato: "O problema está na infraestrutura do posto e ...
