The paper present the problem of permanent fixing of the axisymmetric elements relative position on the example of pulley mounting on the shaft. A method of permanent and quick fixing of pulleys on shafts has been sought for years. A number of detachable and inseparable joint solutions are available. The authors are looking for an inseparable solution allowing for quick assembly in serial production conditions. The quality of this connection is important for the geometry of the transmission gear, as it has a significant impact on the quality of the transmission gear operation and the belt life.
The paper presents the design characteristics of a blockade immobilizing long-barrel Mauser-type and related firearms. The main functional feature of the blockade is securing the weapon from unauthorized use. This stems from the legal regulations that require each owner to secure the weapon from access by unauthorized persons. The design solution presented in this work, together with the assembly and disassembly kit, as well as the method of activation and deactivation are protected by patents: PL 230049, PL 229706 and PL 229807. The design features of the individual elements of the blockade, through which the entire assembly obtains its expected functionality, have been defined. The influence of changes in the selected geometric parameters of the main elements on the efficiency of the blockade is presented. The presented results of design work confirm the effectiveness and reliability of the presented weapon blockade.
The Paris events recorded in November 2015 once again made people realize that Europe may also be the area of influence of contemporary terrorism. Individual countries and international organizations look for solutions that will improve security and thus reduce the risk of other attacks. One of the ways to reduce the potential risk of acts of terror is the imposition of restrictive regulations by the European Union regarding access to firearms and the sale of firearms. The article identifies contemporary terrorism as one of the most serious threats to international security. It presents and analyses formal, legal, and institutional solutions used in the fight against the phenomenon of terrorism. First, the analysis focuses on the solutions ap-plied by countries belonging to the United Nations Organization (UNO), and then the regula-tions adopted by the European Union. The rules governing the access to firearms by EU citi-zens, as well as the rules regarding the trade in firearms in the territory of the EU and the impact of these solutions on reducing the risk of terrorist attack, were analysed in detail.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
