A good entry to the highly reactive fluorine compound (2) is provided by reaction of (1) with fluorine in Pyrex vessels with UV irradiation. In metal autoclaves, (3), (4), and other products are obtained (R = C2F5) without irradiation.

S-Trifluoromethyl sulfurmonofluoride imides (R = CF3CO (1), NC (2), (CF3)2CF (3), C2F5 (4)) are prepared by the reaction of CF3SF3 with appropriate nitrogen derivatives; from cyanuric fluoride and CF3SF3 the S(+2) derivative (CF3)2N-SCF3 (5b) is formed. In (3) and (4) fluorine is substituted by N-silylated amines and PCl5 to give (7) respectively. Silver pseudohalides AgX (X = NCO, NCS) will exchange the chlorine in 7.

Hg(NSF2)2 (1) reagiert mit S2Cl2 zu (SNSF2)2 (4). Aus OSCl2 bzw. SF5NSCl2 und 1 werden OSFNSF2 (6) bzw. F5SNSFNSF2 (8) dargestellt. Über den Mechanismus sowie über spektroskopische Untersuchungen wird berichtet.
