The effect of nanosecond corona discharge on the NO concentrations in flue gas has been studied experimentally. Free electrons of the streamer corona originate active radicals that lead to removal of NO. The flue gas was produced by methane burning. The experiments were performed with a wirecylinder reactor module having a nominal flue gas flow rate up to 30 N m3 h-'. Voltage pulses withThe NO removal efficiency was 80% at an energy input to the gas of 4 W h N m-3 and at oxygen concentration 4~01%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
