Liver is the largest parenchymatous organ fulfilling different vitally important func· tions [1]: performs the primary chemical treatment of foreign substances getting into the bl ood system, i. e. passing the blood con tent brought from bowels through tissue neu tralizes foreign substances; creates new chemical compounds needed for feeding and our body construction. The given organ subjected to different dis eases was closed for direct medical observa· tion during long time. Therefore the recognition of some liver diseases was diffi· cult. Whereas, the treatment progress most of all depends on timely detection of func tional and organic abnormalities . As the liver has high compensatory capa bilities it is not always possible to detect abnormal changes at earlier stages of diseases by clinical and biochemical methods. The function of liver cells is closely connected with the blood circulation in the liver. With the cells activity disturbance the blood supply of these parts of the liver disturbs. With the blood supply disturbance in the liver the function of the liver cells disturbs for the second time. Instrumental methods of the blood circ ulation investigation in the given case will occur more fine and will help to reveal the liver function disturbance at ear lier stages of diseases.The given paper is devoted to the actual problem of medicine-development of the eddy current unit for the investigation of the liver filling with blood.Liver is the semi-conducting biological environment, which is characterized by such informative parameter as specific conduc tance. Hence one can judge on the level of the liver filling with blood by specific conduc tance [2}.Active oscillator circuits, in which the eddy current converter (ECC) is the element of resonance oscillating circuit. are widely used for "eddy current rheography. In realiz ing active oscillator circuits two methods of frequency increment are used: method of beating with the usage of two active oscilla tors and frequencies mixer, method of direct estimation. Method of beating is more prefer able as it allows one to use differential circuit of ECC engagement efficiently. In this con nection it is possible to get high sensitivity, noise immunity, to exclude the affect of the environment temperature. This method is assumed as a basis of the developing unit.The initial value of the resonance fre quency of the active oscilla tor is determined as (1) here L is the converter inductance; C is the capacity of the oscillating circuit. When ECC is in the investigated area of the biological environment the frequency increment is observed as tlill I OJ 0 = Hin/2Ho(2)here Hin, Ho are the induced and initial reac· tive resonance of ECC, correspondents.As it is seen from the equation (2) the sen· sitivity of active oscillators is two times as low than with the control by the amplitude increment and the change of the frequency depends on the increment of the reactive component of the converter only.
