The problem was to examine the relative effects of teaching badminton to beginners with and without an instant replay video tape recorder. Two classes ( Ns = 22 and 21) of students at Simon Fraser University were taught a 10-wk. unit of badminton. The experimental class used the video tape recorder. Evaluation of performance was by the Miller Badminton Wall Volley Test. No significant class-sex interaction was noted and no significant difference between the classes was observed.
