Introduction: Physical activity is any body movement caused by the work of skeletal muscles system and increases the expenditure of effort and energy. The energy is used as fuel to perform motion and function. Nutrition and oxygen throughout the tissue will be better with increased physical condition which showed by increased in the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. Increased concentration will occur when the two energy substances in the human brain effect and fastering body's circular system. Objective: To determine the relationship between physical activity with increasing concentration on students in learning at senior high school 3 Denpasar. Methods: The sampling technique in this study was consecutive sampling. This study used an observational method with a cross sectional design. This research collects data from 122 students at senior high school 3 Denpasar which will measure the level of physical activity and concentration. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between physical activity with increase in learning concentration on students at senior high school 3 Denpasar (r=0,737; p<0,05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship with a positive value between physical activity with an increase in learning concentration on students at senior high school 3 Denpasar. If physical activity increases, the concentration of learning will also increase
Background: Forward Head Posture (FHP) is a posture deviation consisting of an increase in angular excursion in the upper and lower aspects of the cervical spine. A popular method used by physiotherapists to reduce muscle tightness is massage. The massage used is Deep Tissue Massage (DTM) with deeper pressure and slow motion. As an effort to correct posture, physiotherapists can use the McKenzie Neck Exercise method. The standard for managing physiotherapy at the clinic provides a modality, namely Microwave Diathermy (MWD).Method: Research with experimental pre and post-test two groups design. The study was divided into 2 groups, consisting of group 1 with Microwave Diathermy and Deep Tissue Massage exercises and group 2 with Microwave Diathermy and McKenzie Neck Exercise. The number of samples in this study were 16 samples each group, so that the total sample in the two groups amounted to 32 respondents. Results: Group 1 with a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) which means an increase in perspective before and after the intervention of microwave diathermy and deep tissue massage. Group 2 obtained a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) which means an increase in the craniovertebra viewpoint which means the cervical joint before and after the intervention of microwave diathermy and McKenzie's neck training. Calculation results of mean differences Increased craniovertebra angle obtained p value = 0.001 (p <0.05) on the difference between before and after intervention. Microwave diathermy and deep tissue massage compared with microwave diathermy and McKenzie neck exercise against craniovertebral angleConclusion: Intervention of Microave Diathermy and Deep Tissue Massage better than Microave Diathermy and McKenzie Neck Cervical Exercises in correcting posture in patient with Forward Head Posture. Keywords: Forward head posture, Microwave Diathermy, Deep Tissue Massage, McKenzie Neck Exercise, posture
Background: Osteoarthritis is some of problem on joint which have a function for supporting body and have chronic and degenerative characteristic so it can affects the cartilaginous structure of joint it can cause some of abnormality of bones, soft tissues, and synovial fluid like pain, decrease on range of motion (ROM), deformity and morning stiffness which is most often felt especially in knee joint. Purpose: This study was to determine affectivity combination intervention of ultrasound and perturbation exercise with ultrasound and mobilization with movement to improve functional ability for people with osteoarthritis genu. Methods: This research used experimental method with pre and post test control group design. Subject of this research are 22 people and divided into two groups where on the group 1 was given intervention of ultrasound and perturbation exercise and group 2 was given intervention of ultrasound and mobilization with movement with intensity 2 times per week for 12 times total intervention. Measurement functional score ability improvement was measured using a WOMAC index. Result: Group 1 result obtained p value = 0.001 (p <0.05) and in Group 2 got result obtained p value = 0.001 (p<0.05) for Paired Sample T-test. Different test of mean value with independent sample t-test after treatment found that the increase of improve functional 21.45±4.132 in group 1 and 11.55±1.368 in group 2 with p value = 0.036 (p <0.05). Conclusion: Intervention of ultrasound and perturbation exercise is significantly more effective compared with ultrasound and mobilization with movement for improve functional ability for people with osteoarthritis genu. Suggestion: For the next researcher can do follow up research to see long-term result intervention of ultrasound, perturbation and mobilization with movement for improve functional ability for people with osteoarthritis genu.Key Word; Osteoarthritis genu, perturbation exercise, mobilization with movement, ultrasound, WOMAC
