abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Dampelas dalam menyelesaikan soal pada subpokok bahasan parabola ditinjau dari gaya kognitif Field Independent (FI) dan Field Dependent (FD). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari satu siswa yang bergaya kognitif FI dan satu siswa yang bergaya kognitif FD. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu saat menyajikan masalah, subjek FI dan FD menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. Selanjutnya dalam mengklasifikasi unsur-unsur parabola, subjek FI mengelompokkan unsur-unsur parabola menurut bentuk parabolanya yaitu parabola horizontal terbuka ke kanan. Kemudian dalam memberi contoh dan non-contoh pada setiap unsur-unsur parabola, subjek FI memberikan contoh dan non-contoh dari setiap unsur-unsur parabola yang diberikan. Kemudian menyajikan masalah persamaan parabola dalam representasi matematis, subjek FI dan subjek FD menyajikan persamaan parabola kedalam bentuk persamaan umum parabola. Kemudian menggunakan, memanfaatkan dan memilih prosedur tertentu dalam menentukan persamaan parabola, subjek FI menggunakan dan memilih persamaan umum parabola horizontal dan subjek FD menggunakan persamaan umum parabola walaupun subjek tidak mengetahui jenis persamaan umum parabola yang digunakan. Kemudian subjek FI menjelaskan kembali prosedur yang digunakan serta memberikan alasannya dengan menggunakan bahasanya sendiri dan subjek FD menjelaskan kembali prosedur yang digunakan walaupun dalam proses penyelesaiannya siswa belum memahami dengan baik langkah-langkah yang harus digunakan. Kata Kunci: Profil; Pemahaman konsep matematika; Parabola; abstract: This study aims to describe the understanding of mathematical concepts of class XI students of SMA 2 Dampelas in solving problems on the subject of the parabolic discussion reviewed from cognitive style of the Independent Field (FI) and Field Dependent (FD). This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects in this study consisted of one student who was in the cognitive style of FI and one student in the cognitive style of FD. The results of this study are when presenting a problem, FI and FD subject write things that are known and asked. Furthermore, in classifying parabolic elements, FI subjects classify parabolic elements according to their parabolic forms, namely horizontal parabola open to the right. Then in giving examples and non-examples of each parabolic element, the FI subject gives examples and non-examples of each parabolic element given. Then presenting the problem of parabolic equations in mathematical representations, the subject FI and subject FD present the parabolic equation in the form of a general parabolic equation. Then using, utilizing and selecting a particular procedure in determining the parabolic equation, FI subject uses and selects the general horizontal parabolic equation and the FD subject uses the general parabolic equation even though the subject does not know the type of general parabolic equation used. Then the FI subject explains the procedure used again and gives the reason using its own language and the FD subject explains the procedure used even though in the process of completion students do not understand the steps that must be used properly. Mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli students on set operations material in terms of mathematical ability. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were selected based on their mathematical abilities. The subject was given a written test with set operations material and then interviewed. This study uses a triangulation method, namely by comparing the results of written tests and interviews. The results of this study are (1) Subjects with high mathematical abilities achieve three indicators of mathematical communication skills in set operations, namely being able to express mathematical ideas through oral and written; able to interpret and evaluate mathematical ideas both orally and in writing; and able to use terms, mathematical symbols to model mathematical situations or problems. ( 2) Subjects with moderate mathematical ability achieved two indicators of mathematical communication skills on set operations, namely being able to express mathematical ideas only through writing, and being able to interpret and evaluate mathematical ideas orally and in writing. (3) Subjects with low mathematical ability achieved one indicator of mathematical communication skills on set operations, namely expressing mathematical ideas in writing.
Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level berpikir siswa SMP dalam memahami konsep geometri sebagian besar berada pada level 0 dan level 1. Padahal secara teoritis menurut teori perkembangan intelektual Piaget, seharusnya level berpikir siswa SMP mencapai level 2. Ini Hal inilah yang mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan memperoleh perangkat pembelajaran geometri berbasis teori Van Hiele untuk meningkatkan berpikir ktitis siswa SMP. Peneliti menggunakan metode pengembangan Four D-Model yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap definisi, (2) tahap desain, (3) tahap pengembangan; dan (4) tahap diseminasi. Pada tahap definisi, beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan antara lain mengkaji karakteristik siswa, mengkaji isi kurikulum, menganalisis tugas dan tujuan pembelajaran. Draf awal (Draft I) perangkat pembelajaran dibuat pada tahap desain berdasarkan hasil tahap definisi. Draf I ini terdiri dari RPP, Buku Siswa, LKS dan Soal Latihan. Kemudian pada tahap pengembangan, kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah validasi Draf I dan uji keterbacaan Draf I (uji coba I). Hasil ini digunakan untuk merevisi Draf I dan menghasilkan Draf II. Pada tahap pengembangan ini juga dilakukan uji coba II terhadap Draf II. Uji coba II digunakan untuk mengetahui kepraktisan dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan. Hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini adalah seperangkat perangkat pembelajaran geometri SMP berdasarkan teori Van Hiele yaitu Buku Siswa, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, LKS dan Soal Latihan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dan terdiri dari 7 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Nonprobability sampling. Kelas yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIA 1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil analisis data dari post-test diperoleh persentase ketuntasan siswa sebanyak 80%. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan data post-test siswa diperoleh zhitung = 1,73 dan ztabel = 1,65 pada taraf signifikan 0,05, hal tersebut menunjukkan zhitung > ztabel yang artinya tolak H0 dan terima Ha. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada perbandingan trigonometri sudut istimewa di kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on mathematics learning outcomes on trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. The hypothesis of this research is the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on mathematics learning outcomes on a trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. This research is quantitative research experiment with a research design by using The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was all of class X MIA in SMA Negeri 3 Palu which register in the 2018/2019 school year and consisted of 7 classes. The sampling technique was done by Nonprobability sampling. The class that became the sample of the research was class X MIA 1 that consisted of 30 students. The results of the post-test data analysis obtained a percentage of students’ completeness as much as 80%. Based on the calculation of testing hypothesis by using the students’ post-test then got the zcounted = 1,73 and ztable = 1,65 with level of significant 0,05, it shows that the zcounted>ztable which means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning is effective on mathematics learning outcomes on trigonometric ratios of special angles in class X MIA of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. The Research and Development study aimed to develop a instructional media for math lesson using valid, practical, and effective humanity-value teaching model to prevent juvenile delinquency. To achieve the objective, the prototypical study was conducted using 3 phase development, namely (1) early assessment phase or front-end analysis, (2) the development phase consisting of expert validation and tryout I, and (3) the evaluation phase through tryout II using a quasi experiment design with anacova data analysis. The result from the first year development (2015) was the instructional media for junior high school using a valid humanity-value teaching model to prevent various kinds of juvenile delinquency. The products developed from the current research were in the form of lesson plan, teacher's book, student book, and student worksheets. The products were in the form of draft of the instructional set which was valid.
