Zusammenfassung: Gegenstand und Ziel: Darstellung von Diagnostik eines anaplastischen Oligoastrozytoms bei einem Hund, Krankheitsverlauf nach Radiotherapie und pathologischen Befunden. Material und Methode: Fallbericht eines 11 Jahre alten, männlichen Boxers. MRT- und CT-Darstellung, Behandlung mit einem Linearbeschleuniger. Ergebnisse: Der Hund entwickelte plötzlich auftretende generalisierte Anfälle. Im Magnetresonanztomogramm konnte ein Tumor im Bereich des Hippocampus diagnostiziert werden. Durch eine Radiotherapie ließ sich eine partielle Remission des Tumors erreichen. Im weiteren Verlauf trat bei dem Patienten eine hochgradige Dolenz im Kopfbereich auf, der eine lokoregionale Metastasierung des Hirntumors in mehreren Lokalisationen des Gehirns zugrunde lag. Pathomorphologisch wurde ein anaplastisches Oligoastrozytom diagnostiziert. Schlussfolgerungen: Das Oligoastrozytom des vorgestellten Hundes zeigte sich radiosensibel, wies jedoch ein hochmalignes biologisches Verhalten auf, das in einer lokoregionalen Metastasierung resultierte. Klinische Relevanz: Die Magnetresonanztomographie eignet sich zur Diagnostik von Gehirntumoren wie beispielsweise des Oligoastrozytoms des Hundes. Da über das biologische Verhalten primärer Neoplasien des Neuroparenchyms und der Meningen beim Hund bisher nur wenig bekannt ist, müssen auch gut abgesicherte Einzelfälle aufgearbeitet werden, um die prognostische Einschätzung zu verbessern und mögliche Therapieverfahren bewerten zu können.
