This article deals with strategic development of laser technology of material treatment. The efficiency of laser material processing is discussed. The structure of laser treatment CAD/CAM systems is suggested. The opportunities of the global network telecommunications allow to provide the wide possibilities to use the system of prediction in the mode of real time.The technology of laser processing of materials is one of those critical technologies, which will give an opportunity for domestic industry to transfer on a new technological level, and as a result will supply transition of Russia to steady development in XXI century. The distinctive features of application of lasers in manufacturing are high quality of products, high efficiency of processes, economies of human and material resources and ecological cleanliness. The development of laser technologies has a social aspect: working places for competent staff are created, which offers the growth of the educational and cultural level. The strategic purpose is preservation and development of accumulated technological and industrial potential, adaptation of it to modem conditions. Welding manufacture is very diverse. It includes precise microwelding of electronic components, welding in a automobileand shipbuilding, cutting of materials in blank preparation manufacture. There are different kinds of surface processing such as heat treatment, surfacing, alloying, marking and so on. In a number of directions such technical and economic results are achieved with the help of lasers which cannot be realized by other means. In these cases beam technologies are beyond competition, but they are not the main theme ofthis work.There are a lot oftechnological processes, realized by conventional ways ofwelding, for which the beam technologies are a tempting from the point of view of quality and productivity of operations fufflilment, but a very expensive alternative. Except for high capital costs, the limit factor is the necessity of competent staff, while the advantages in comparison with conventional ways are not obvious.It is necessary to analyze the process of manufacturing in general: from procuring manufacture up to issue of final production.
