Abstruct -Anti-islanding protection is a mandatory feature for grid-connected inverters. The effectiveness of passive islanding detection methods (lDMs) is usually demonstrated by means of nondetection zones (NDZs) represented in a power mismatch space (AP x AQ). A number of active type IDMs with improved performance have been presented but their effectiveness cannot be compared using the AP x AQ space. This paper proposes a new load parameter space for comparing the effectiveness of IDMs where the influence of the load resistance can be easily assessed. Equations that represent NDZs for the hp x AQ and proposed load parameter space are derived and verified by simulation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
