Auxiliary differential equation (ADE) algorithm for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method simulation of electromagnetic wave propagation in a frequencydispersive chiral metamaterials (CMMs) slab is developed in the paper. First, using the transform relation between frequency domain and time domain, constitutive relations and wave equations for CMMs are deduced and discretized according to Yee's scheme. Then the validity of ADE-FDTD method is performed by computing co-and cross-polarized reflection and transmission coefficients of a chiral media slab. The 1D-FDTD numerical simulation results show that coupling and negative index of refraction effects present as multiple cycle pulse propagation in chiral metamaterials slab.
