RESUMO O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido no período de 1995 a 1996, no Laboratório de Irrigação e Salinidade do Departamento de Engenharia Agrícola/CCT/UFPB. Os efeitos da bentonita Primavera, do município de Boa Vista, PB, sobre as propriedades químicas do solo, foram avaliados em amostras de regossolo eutrófico. As amostras de solo, após coletadas a profundidade de 0-20cm, foram incubadas por 120 dias com doses da bentonita equivalentes a 0, 30, 60 e 90 t ha-1. Após este período, foram feitas avaliações químicas nas amostras de terra. Os tratamentos não influenciaram nos teores de K e Al trocáveis e P assimilável, porém houve aumento nos valores de pH e nos teores de Ca, Mg e Na trocáveis e capacidade de troca catiônica. Os resultados demonstraram que o uso da bentonita Primavera aumentou os valores de pH correspondentes ao ponto de carga zero do solo.
Soil water flux below the root zone of a soybean crop was measured in the field at Oakes, North Dakota, during the crop season in 1972 for four water treatments. Amounts of 0, 30.6, 38. l, and 47.0 cm of water were applied in addition to the 19.5cm rainfall occurring during the growing season to treatments W-l, W-2, W-3, and W-4, respectively. Specific in situ unsaturated hydraulic conductivity for each plot of the Maddock sandy loam soil and hydraulic gradients measured with tensiometers in .the field during the growing season were used to compute the soil water flux.
