Presentamos los resultados del estudio de la cerámica común romana procedente de cinco zonas del castro de Viladonga. Este castro, con una cronología que lo sitúa entre el s. II y el V d.C., ha proporcionado restos arqueológicos que han sido tradicionalmente encuadrados desde un momento prerromano hasta los tiempos de la germanización de la Gallaecia. Trataremos de determinar la evolución cronológica de su ocupación y caracterizar tipológicamente sus producciones cerámicas.
This study focuses on the characterization of the common pottery productions present in Roman contexts from different deposits in the surroundings of the city of Lucus Augusti, with the main objective of interpretate the transformations that occurred in the zone after the integration of this territory in the Roman world. Through an approach that bets on the analysis of cultural exchange that gives rise to a hybrid culture that has its echo in the pottery, we studied the productions of the hill fort of Saa (A Pastoriza), Agra dos Castros (Lugo) and Viladonga (Castro de Rei). These are different places from each other, which are at different distances from the city and with occupations in periods between the s. I BC and the s. V AD, which has allowed to observe the different realities present in the territory
Se presenta el estado de la cuestión sobre los yacimientos y restos arqueológicos adscritos a la época romana y castrexa, englobados en el área geográfica comprendida entre la Punta de Estaca de Bares y la Ría de Ribadeo, en el sector occidental del Mar Cantábrico. En esta zona se conocen numerosos yacimientos adscritos a este espacio temporal, entre los que podemos destacar media centena de castros, una decena de asentamientos abiertos -comúnmente denominados villae-, así como algunas explotaciones auríferas, unas pocas instalaciones artesanales, y diversos hallazgos sin contexto arqueológico definido. El estudio historiográfico se completa con el análisis de una serie de materiales arqueológicos que se ha llevado a cabo en el Museo de Prehistoria e Arqueoloxía de Vilalba.
En este artículo estudiamos una colección cerámica que consideramos representativa de este asentamiento militar romano. Para ello utilizamos una metodología formal de ámbito regional con la que hacemos una clasificación tipológica. De esta forma, su análisis formal y tecnológico permite ponerla en relación con las producciones documentadas en la capital del Conventus, Lucus Augusti.
