La preeclampsia en mujeres gestantes constituye una de las principales causas de complicaciones obstétricas de mayor repercusión en la salud materno fetal, de manera conjunta con las hemorragias y las infecciones de la madre, representan las más altas tasas de morbimortalidad en todo el mundo en las unidades de alto riesgo y una considerable inversión de recursos económicos del Estado y nivel privado. Sin embargo, este estado puede ser prevenido y controlado de manera que permita llegar el embarazo a término. El objetivo de esta investigación fue demostrar que la preeclampsia es una complicación del embarazo potencialmente severa, pero que, puede ser controlada e incluso prevenida, evitando así riesgos fatales que pueden ser mortales tanto para la madre como para el bebé. Se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptiva retrospectiva, no experimental u observacional y de corte transversal, que permitió obtener como resultado información relevante sobre las causas más comunes y posibles riesgos analizados a pacientes gestantes que han presentado diagnóstico de preeclampsia. Se llegó a la conclusión de que la preeclampsia-eclampsia puede prevenirse manteniéndose informada de qué es y además resulta clave si se lleva un control desde el principio del embarazo y se mantienen hábitos saludables.
La flujometría Doppler es una técnica de diagnóstico, que permite controlar y manejar de manera más acertada la hemodinamia fetal, con el claro propósito de evitar las complicaciones que podrían presentar las mujeres en estado de gestación, que debido a distintos factores puedan correr riesgos, dando así la oportunidad de tener un claro panorama de lo que está ocurriendo y poder tomar decisiones más convenientes tanto para el feto como para la madre. El objetivo de esta investigación ha sido demostrar la utilidad de la flujometría Doppler en el diagnóstico y control de las complicaciones durante el embarazo. Se aplicó una investigación descriptiva, no experimental y de corte transversal, de donde se tomó una muestra que estuvo conformada por 96 historias clínicas de pacientes con diagnóstico de preeclampsia y que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión establecidos. Los resultados mostraron que la flujometría Doppler juega un papel determinante, para manejar los tiempos, de manera rutinaria, al hacerlo cada 24 a 48 horas según sea la necesidad, da la confianza y tranquilidad para poder seguir esperando con seguridad, pudiendo modificarlo y tomar una decisión adecuada. Se puede concluir que en los productos de la gestación, en preeclámpticas con restricción, la flujometría Doppler es necesaria para valorar los cambios hemodinámicos relacionados a la hipoxia fetal, su seguimiento, control y toma de decisión para la terminación exitosa del embarazo.
