Dialogando com estudantes universitários sobre a prevenção de infecções sexualmente transmissíveisrelato de experiência Dialogging with university students on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections-experience report
Objetivo: analisar as adaptações pós-operatórias de pessoas com estomias intestinais de eliminação com e sem complicação a partir da Escala de Adaptação a Ostomia de Eliminação. Método: estudo de abordagem quantitativa, prospectiva, com 56 pessoas com estomia em pós-operatório tardio. Utilizou-se questionário semiestruturado. Os dados foram analisados a partir de testes estatísticos não-paramétricos. Resultados: a maioria dos participantes possuía entre 54 e 69 anos (58,9%), ensino fundamental completo (41%), casados (53,6%), aposentados (66%) e colostomizados (71,4%). Do total, 48,2% apresentaram complicações relacionadas a estomia, como dermatites (19,6%). Na escala de adaptação, a média geral foi 144,7. As dimensões que apresentaram maior pontuação foram autocuidado (18,8) e autoconceito (42,5); e menor pontuação, interação sexual (15,1). O domínio suporte social/religioso mostrou-se significativamente diferente entre os grupos (p=0,031). Conclusão: Um quantitativo relevante da população possuía complicações e mostrou-se menos adaptado a estomia. Avaliação precoce pode ser uma estratégia para prevenção de complicações.
Resumo:As representações preconcebidas que os alunos do 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico têm da Geografia, devem ser consideradas e (re)trabalhadas no contexto das práticas pedagógicas que o professor necessitará de implementar ao longo do ano letivo. Com efeito, as perspetivas que cada aluno foi adquirindo ao longo da sua socialização, influenciam a forma como cada um interpreta não só a importância da disciplina no seu percurso escolar como a sua relevância no quotidiano, podendo condicionar a sua motivação, desempenho e resultados. Assim, o professor de Geografia não só tem a responsabilidade de definir a(s) metodologia(s) que melhor se adeqúem à aprendizagem dos conteúdos programáticos considerando o público-alvo, como deve ser capaz de transmitir a mais-valia da Geografia na construção dos seus valores ideológicos e sociais, ajudando-os a interpretar a sociedade de uma forma mais abrangente e inclusiva. Este artigo aborda precisamente as representações dos alunos sobre a disciplina de Geografia, visando compreender a sua perceção sobre esta área disciplinar, assim como perceber a evolução de ideias pré concebidas que entretanto foram trabalhadas na sala de aula ao longo do ano letivo. Foi utilizada uma metodologia de trabalho que incidiu na aplicação de inquéritos por questionário, adicionada a outros instrumentos qualitativos aplicados aos alunos do 3.º Ciclo do ensino básico, proporcionando desta forma uma leitura mais sustentada das suas configurações sobre a disciplina. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que os alunos consideram a Geografia uma disciplina importante para a compreensão da sociedade e para a sua formação enquanto cidadãos integrados num mundo cada vez mais complexo, globalizado e desagregado.
Os jovens são um grupo vulnerável às doenças sexualmente transmissíveis em função de suas características próprias. Considerando a população que ingressa anualmente nas universidades é constituída majoritariamente por pessoas jovens, torna-se relevante dialogar com esses estudantes acerca das doenças transmitidas pela prática do sexo inseguro. Este estudo tem o objetivo de relatar as atividades desenvolvidas pelo projeto de extensão “Quando o assunto é prevenção: dialogando com os jovens acerca das doenças sexualmente transmissíveis”, realizado nas dependências da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Descreve os momentos de interação com os jovens e a vivência das dinâmicas adotadas na execução da ação. As atividades tiveram início em 2013 e, desde então, o projeto já atingiu aproximadamente 600 jovens dos cursos de educação física, enfermagem, educação e odontologia. Em 2014 os alunos da Fundação da Infância e Adolescência, com sede na UERJ, com idades entre 13 e 16 anos foram incluídos na ação. Os estudantes são receptivos, demonstram boa aceitação e interesse durante a realização das dinâmicas e participam ativamente das atividades propostas pelos integrantes da equipe. As atividades buscam esclarecer a população jovem sobre as doenças sexualmente transmissíveis, estimulando a reflexão da importância da prática do sexo seguro para a prevenção da ocorrência das infecções, e a adoção de hábitos de vida saudáveis para a prevenção de agravos para a saúde sexual e reprodutiva. A aids se destaca como a doença mais conhecida entre os estudantes. Acreditamos que o diálogo e ações de conscientização podem favorecer a mudança de atitude e contribuir para a redução da ocorrência de doenças sexualmente transmissíveis entre os jovens.
