Through the long time track examination and disintegration to SF6 circuit breaker, we obtain the massive monitor data and massive pictures. The criteria of resuming insulation discharge failure conforming to CSO2/CH2S>7, is quite broad to SO2 and the H2S concentration permission. Even if it reaches 100µL/L, it will not be in danger immediately to the safe operation of equipment. We may plan, arrange, and overhaul calmly. When obtaining the bare conductor overheating failure, it has not involved the resuming insulation. We may use the resuming insulation discharge failure criterion
In the occurrence of arcs discharges, spark discharges and corona discharges, sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6 ) would be decomposed to complicated byproducts such as sulfur dioxide (S02), carbon tetrafluoride (CF4), etc.Analyzing the concentrations of these byproducts, which can be determined when the electric equipment is electriferous, is an effective method to judge the internal condition of GIS. The fault of GIS and the position of the fault can be known by SF6 byproducts analysis. There are many cases about how to judge the electric equipment faults by analyzing SF6 byproducts, but with little experience about how to judge the latent faults. The article concluded the concentrations of SF6 byproducts in 74 220kV and 500kV GIS transformer substation (3770 gas chambers in total) in Guangdong Province. The concentrations of carbon dioxide (C0 2), CF4, thionyl sulfide (SOF2), sulfuryl fluoride (S02F2), disulfuryl decafluoride (S20F 10), S02 and sulfureted hydrogen (H 2S) were in partial normal distribution. The concentrations of CO 2, CF4, SOF2, S02F2, S20FI0 were all below 0.1% (v/v); the concentrations of S02 were below 3JlL/L; the concentrations of H2S were below 1JlL/L. The SF 6 byproducts concentrations in 500kV GIS were lower than those in 220kV GIS. The SF6 byproducts concentrations were higher in GIS that have been operating longer.
