This paper presents a novel feed for dual-layer pillbox antenna. The electric field distribution and return-loss of the feed Cavity are analyzed by using vector finite-element method and PML absorption boundary condition. The effect of the different Sub-reflector Shape on the electromagnetic field distribution and the beam width of the feed are studied. A new bow-tie feed structure is proposed. The simulation results show in the Ku band, the 3 dB beam width is more than 160°, and the VSWR was lower than 1.5, which provides a simple structure, superior performance feed form for double pillbox antenna.
