For a long time, the Western Valley Cities (WVC) had suffered serious threats from several natural disasters, and integrated prevention natural disasters has been a primary issue to their sustainable development and inhabitation environment construction. As a significant public policy for conducting city development and guaranteeing public safety, city planning serves an irreplaceable function in WVC natural disasters integrated prevention. Take Lanzhou city as a WVC example, the paper firstly analyzing its main natural disasters that include earthquake, flood, sandstorm and geological disasters. Further, it systematically summarizes their four typical characteristics, which are forceful relevance with geographical environment, higher disasters continuous occurrence, stronger amplifying nature of disaster losses and higher costs and difficulties of rescues and reconstructions. Finally, from four aspects that are improving legal status of disasters integrated prevention planning, establishing a rational optimal allocation model of city land-use, building a multilevel natural disaster prevention system and constructing prevention disaster communities, it puts forward natural disasters integrated prevention countermeasures for WVC based on the perspective of city planning.
The fuzzy clustering algorithm is sensitive to the m value and the degree of membership. Because of the deficiencies of traditional FCM clustering algorithm, we made specific improvement. Through the calculation of the value of m, the amendments of degree of membership to the discussion of issues, effectively compensate for the deficiencies of the traditional algorithm and achieve a relatively good clustering effect. Finally, through the analysis of temperature observation data of the three northeastern province of china in 2000, the reasonableness of the method is verified.
The Lanzhou City construction space and transportation network have obviously changed. Lanzhou city’s terrain is that the Yellow River crossing two mountains caused the valley very long and narrow. So with the subsequent traffic congestion, effective measures should be taken to expand city spaces and to improve traffic network. Only with this, Lanzhou City could be developed fast and shape a unique city identity. Through analysis of the city topographic features and spatial layout, this paper outlines several ideas on city planning of Lanzhou.
From the perspective of urban morphology, this paper mainly focuses on the relationship between urban space and urban transport, and then concluded the traffic characteristics of the belt city. Through the evolution of urban spatial structure and traffic organization development in Lanzhou as an example, by analyzing the spatial relationship between space resources and transportation organization, and further explore optimization strategy of the sustainable development of city. Then putting forward its recommendations of spatial structure use and traffic organization optimization.
Mountain land is a key region of both ecological environment construction and city distribution in China, which is a mountainous country. Mountainous city has unique spatial forms, of which the valley-type is the most important manifestation. Due to the special topography features of valley city, many environmental and spatial development issues have been found in the process of modern valley city construction. In this paper, the urban spatial form of valley city was analyzed and the development disciplines of whole spatial morphology were summarized.
