The use of lasers in materials processing is increasing, and in particular with the availability of more brilliant laser sources, like disk and fiber lasers, new processes and applications in laser beam welding become of interest. To take full advantage of these new capabilities the accurate tool of a high‐brilliant laser beam requires precise handling and process control. Process sensor systems are cornerstones for advanced laser welding stations that are suitable for integration in automated mass production.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
