Personnel paths of workers are difficult to capture because there are many objects obscure crew from view in construction site. Today, many devises to capture were supplied but they are too big, expensive, or complicated to use in construction site. In this paper, the author developed interface system for capture personnel paths of crew. It needs only full view movie of area to analyze. Firstly, the system creates time series pictures from video. Secondary, the system calculates 3D coordinates position from two user's clicks on picture displayed into interface. Lastly, the system saves text data and picture data.
Construction site manager pursue productivity improvement in daily management works. Quantification of relation between productivity and workers' activities is start of "KAIZEN" that is a solution for achievement productivity improvement. The author focus on worker's carrying or walking velocity because worker's overburden is appeared into carrying velocity. In this paper, the author describe about a method to calculate velocity of carrying or walking from dataset of construction worker's activity log. The activity log data was captured in indoor experimental construction of scaffolding. 20 datasets were created and changed into 18 carrying velocity histograms.
The author demonstrated a new evaluation method of construction workers' activity sequence. Firstly the author described the importance of transportation by the comparison between factory and construction site. Then the author classified the worker action into nine categories, which are 'Insert', 'Remove', 'Arts', 'Walk', 'Get', 'Carry', 'Place', 'Stay', and 'KAKUNIN', based on the change of condition (e.g. rotation, position, shape, and finishing). Secondly the author explained 'Action Array' which is based on the method of genetics. Thirdly the author explained the flow of calculation which reveals the 'Smoothness' of Action Array and 'Similarity' between pairs of Action Array. Finally the author verified the method by test calculation using sample data which was captured in the experimental construction of scaffoldings.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
