Thermal property is an importance factor of quick dry inner wears. This study aims to evaluate the thermal property of women’s quick dry inner wears in the market with different market position (Brand A: online brand; Brand B: general market and Brand C: youth market). The thermal property studied in this paper included (i) thermal conductivity and (ii) Q-max value (warm/cool feeling). The thermal conductivity and Q-max values were measured according to the standard of KES-F7. Thermal conductivity analysis showed that Brand B was the optimal product, while Q-max results indicated that both Brand B and Brand A had the best product in terms of quick dry property.
Quick dry inner wear products become increasingly popular in the tropical regions with a hot and rainy climate. This study evaluated the quick dry property of three inner wear for women available in the market via studying their wicking rates. It was found that one products had satisfactory wicking ability as they claimed, whereas one products showed no quick dry property.
Hand feel properties are importance factor of quick dry inner wears. This study aims to evaluate the hand feel properties of women’s quick dry inner wears in the market (three commonly found products in the market) by studying their relative hand value. The relative hand value was measured according to the standard of AATCC-202. Experimental results revealed that the three quick dry inner wears performed differently in the hand feel. The experimental results were discussed comprehensively in this study.
