En los últimos años se ha venido observando notables cambios en la secuencia de los métodos auxiliares de diagnóstico en las Cervicopatías. Esto motivo estudios por los distintos Centros Especializados y aún sigue siendo objeto de discusión por los diversos resultados encontrados.
Este estudio ha sido hecho en el Departamento de Ginecología y Obs- tetricia del Hospital General del Callao, con la revisión de 8.000 historias Clínicas de la especialidad entre los años 1969-1971 y de ellas se desprende que, la epidemiología del cáncer del cérvix uterino tiene íntima relación con la edad media de la mujer a partir de los 30 años; con una mayor paridad, con la precocidad en la vida sexual activa; con la pobreza con la falta de cultura y que posiblemente el futuro de la etiología está en el estudio de los Virus.
Se trata de una paciente de nuestra clientela particular de raza blanca de 56 años de edad, Viuda, natural de Francia, procede de Miraflores (Lima). Antecendentes personales patológicos, sin importancia. Antecedentes personales fisiológicos: menarquía a los 14 años. Cataremia tipo 4/30: regulares en cantidad y presentación, sin dolor. R.S. a los 20 años sin modificar el ritmo catameral. U.R. hace 10 años. Gestaciones: 3 con partos autócicos. No abortos. En abril de 1962, consulta por la presencia de un tumor en la mama derecha, que al comienzo era del tamaño de una ciruela y que en el transcurso de 3 meses ha crecido al doble. No presenta ninguna molestia a los demás órganos.
