The purpose of this study is to analyze the welding defects that occurring in the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process. This study used experimental method to investigate the various types of electrodes and welding current. The welding process in this study used ASTM A36 low carbon steel with specimen dimensions of 8 mm thick, 80 mm wide, and 100 mm long. The welding process was carried out in an underhand position (1G) using a V-seam layer with a SMAW welding machine, which a sliding adaptive two axis system with speed control. The types of electrodes used were E6013 and E7018 electrodes with a diameter of 3.2 mm. The current variations used 90 A, 105 A and 120 A. The test methods used the Penetrant Test, Visual Test (Non Destructive Test) and Tensile Test (Destructive Test). The results of this study were: 1) the welding defects that often occurring at the E6013 electrode due to undercut and at the E7018 electrode caused by the porosity, 2) at a current of 120 A the occurrence of welding defects was minimal, and 3) the tensile strength of E7018 was greater than E6013.
Vibrating Screen Machine have a crucial role in producing split stone. Vibrating screen machine maintenance is taken after it is in trouble. This is a kind of unplanned maintenance, which risks causing a high quantity of machine breakdowns and will affect to the production capacity. This study analyses data trouble of the vibrating screen machine for five months. The data analysed are the type of disturbance, the amount of production losses and financial losses. The results showed that the largest repair hours due to mechanical problem occurred in the fifth month with a repair time of 75.8 hours and a production loss of 5,269.85 Tons which is equivalent to Rp. 580,382,000,-. Then the largest total repair hours due to the production problem occurred in the second month with a repair time of 32.99 hours and a production loss of 968.49 Tons or equivalent to Rp. 179,385,000,-. Salah satu jenis mesin yang beperan dalam memproduksi batu split adalah vibrating screen. Perawatan mesin vibrating screen biasanya dilakukan saat mesin mengalami kerusakan. Hal ini adalah bentuk pemeliharaan yang tidak terencana, yang beresiko menimbulkan tingginya kuantitas gangguan pada mesin dan akan mempengaruhi kapasitas produksi. Penelitian ini menganalisa data gangguan dari mesin vibrating screen selama lima bulan. Data yang dianalisis meliputi tipe gangguan, jumlah produksi yang hilang (production losses) dan rugi keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total jam perbaikan dengan klasifikasi kerusakan mechanical terbesar terjadi pada bulan ke lima dengan waktu perbaikan selama 75,8 jam dan production loss sebesar 5.269,85 Ton yang setara dengan Rp. 580.382.000,-. Kemudian total jam perbaikan dengan klasifikasi kerusakan production terbesar terjadi pada bulan kedua dengan waktu perbaikan 32,99 jam dan kerugian hasil produksi sebesar 968,49 Ton atau setara dengan sebesar Rp. 179.385.000,-.
Cassava is one of the foodstuffs whose role is quite important in supporting the food security of a region, but the diversification of food made from cassava still needs to be improved. Health responsibility in the implementation of food security is carried out by compiling reference standards and technical health requirements throughout the food chain process, the principles of Sanitation Hygiene. Sialang Sakti is one of the sub-districts in Tenayan Raya District and is one of the potential cassava producing villages to be developed. The purpose of the service activities included ordering farmer groups that focus on the environment which also functions as a promotion forum for the Healthy Living Movement. Activities carried out in the form of advocacy to related parties, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), ordering farmer groups, trainings, and other activities to support efforts to promote the healthy community movement. The result of the activity was the formation of farmer groups that focus on cassava and health promotion, increased knowledge and skills of cassava cultivation, and the presence of appropriate technology products, and partnership with related parties.
